It doesnt transmit over 3 miles and the SWR is very HIGH. Unfortionetly I waited to long to set it up and can't do a return. The 20 ft I bought from a different seller works Great, but the 18ft will burn your radio up HIGH SWR.

has been an absolute beast, a windstorm earlier knocked down the tree in the neighbor's yard and the only thing that broke on the antenna setup was a lower bracket on the 14' supporting bar, antenna isn't even bent. great assembly, super-duper light and easy to put up high, receives and sends amazing is about a 1.25 ch 1 and a 1.4 ch40 for cb bands it is an absolute dream

I got this to use with my Radiodity CB radio...it's not a "base station", just a regular CB, but I have it set up in my house. I get good reception with this, far better than the small whip I was using. Overall, it's a heck of an antenna for less than $100.If you need a cable, check out FMUSER's store, they sell this with a cable included as well. 5 stars for a heck of a deal.

I keep this in my truck toolbox and pull it out when I am really in the abckwoods and need to reach out. It is easy to setup and tune and it does a much better job than my truck antenna. Since I am not using it as a base station antenna I can't really rate it for that, but it appears to be fine and work OK. My base is a bit bigger and beefier, but they both get the job done.

The antenna seems well built but unfortunatly swr was high i tried 3 different radios 2 different cables different placements around house and yard still same high swr,contacted customer service and told them what was going on their response was very fast and issued full refund very happy with customer service just think they need to make the antenna tunable and it would be ok

This antenna is not adjustable in length and will require an antenna tuner to xmit properly. The receive on this 1/2 wave antenna is nice, I was hearing both coasts on SSB from the center of the USA. Xmit on this antenna with out a tuner would trigger my radios SWR safety at 3.0 SWR. If you are looking for a big ear antenna, this will do for entry level DX listening but not a lot for transmitting without a tuner.
