As others have stated, this does require two separate circuits with the same phase. We had to reconfigure our panel only slightly to get the two circuits at the same phase. Works beautifully once it is all setup. We replaced two old 4-channel units with this new 6-channel and it has done good things for us.

I friend gave me one of these ten years ago. He said it was broken because channels 4,5,6 would not dim. Just switch full on.About five years ago i got one of these. Same problem. Channels 4,5,6 would not dim. And yes i went to the menue and set all the channels on linear dim. So i use it in an arena only needed three channels. I had forgotten this was a trendSo i just got one of these. And now the same thing. Channels 4,5,6 do not dim. They only switch

This is a great, inexpensive, dimmer pack, but the plug requires and adapter to use with most systems. So I returned it.

I recently purchased 2 of these, and I couldn't be happier. If you do your research before you buy there won't be any surprises after you buy. Such as, you need two separate 20 amp electrical circuits on the same phase to power the pack. One of my favorite features is that you can have a manual set point that the dimmer pack will revert back to if there is a DMX signal loss.
