It is a very soft and smooth material. It's a robe-like style, meaning there is no zipper or buttons; You just tie it closed. I love the big lapel collar. I ordered the black with brown trim which I find stunning. I ordered size XL, I usually wear a size 14 and this fits nicely. The length hits me at mid-thigh (I am 5'8). I love this coat!

The weight of this coat surprised me. It is good quality and fits as expected. It even arrived a bit earlier than originally expected! Probably not good for the dead of winter, but milder winter temps would be good
