It is made of plastic so I don’t expect it will last a long time, but it doesn’t expel the cheese it has to be pulled out. Minor inconvenience and it leaves quite a bit of cheese in the tube that doesn’t get shredded.

I love this product! We use it all the time. Because of this, we have stopped buying pre shredded cheese and use this to make it at home! Easier to clean than a traditional cheese grater.

This product worked great for a while, it was a game changer 5 stars.... and then all of a sudden started violently squealing sound. We have taken it all apart and cleaned it thoroughly after each use but the seal around the rotating part is not only squealing (extremely loud) but is rubbing enough that we are getting debris in our shredded cheese making this product unusable. For $30 I would expect to get more longevity out of this, as it is something I only use once a month at the MOST. That said when it was great it was great. Now its useless to me because even though it "works" i don't want debris in my food.

I am so happy I found this attachment! It makes life so much easier. Shredding cheese, slicing cucumbers - EASY! Helps me so much during the holidays. Super easy to use and clean too!

I’ve had a kitchenaid stand mixer for years and only recently learned that something like this exists. This works perfectly and makes grating cheese a breeze which is what I need it for the most. So much better than fumbling with a food processor or hand grater.
