My 3 year old had the best time making this for her grandma! Once she was finished placing the beads I just cleaned up around the edges with a dry paintbrush. It was easy. I know this product is high quality because I made one of these for my grandma 20 years ago and it’s still holding up!

Such a fun craft for children. A little tedious and you have to make sure you pile the beads in to make sure there’s no holes in the finished product. Use tweezers!!

This really brought back memories and my girls loved it!! Worked a treat just as I remembered and kept them busy. The smell of plastic when baking wasn't ideal, but I opened up the windows and it was only for a few minutes. I still think this is a great creative activity with something to use afterwards.

Came out great! My daughter had a playdate with her 2 cousins and they each did one (and so did the moms)! The kids are ages 4-6. Some colors mixed but that wasn't the products fault. The girls had a blast!

The frame came a little bent. This made it very difficult because if you bumped it the slightest bit you had to start all over. This to about and hour and a half to two hours. The end product turned out great and is very pretty.

I love these kits, but this is not a kid project honestly. It took me awhile to complete this and I’m an adult. There are too many tiny beads. If a child does attempt this, my recommendations would be to do it on the cooking pan with aluminum foil underneath it. Make it as flat as possible! Use pearler bead tweezers to place the beads. I also added beads after I heated it once and reheated it just to ensure there was complete coverage. They come out nice!

These make a fabulous gift for a creative child because they are there as a present in the first instance and then afterwards they give joy for years to come. My children who are now mature adults both enjoyed making the light catchers and have still got them to this day and this is a present for my five year old granddaughter. It's such a shame that they don't make more designs and are available at outlets in the UK. There certainly would be a market in the UK for children.

I'm 27 and this took me forever to do! I remember doing these as a kid, and they were definitely higher quality and more sturdy feeling back then. This one wouldn't lie flat, and the frame cracked when I tried to bend it back into place. It was still able to be completed, and turned out ok. My daughter was VERY disappointed that it did not come with the blue plastic melts like the picture shows.

i used to love making these suncatchers when i was a kid. from what i recall they look exactly the same now as they did back then. i bought two of these for each of my girls. they are so much fun to make and much prettier than the suncatchers you paint.
