I am not a small man. Typically, I am between a 4XL and a 5XL. I decided to order the 5XL just to be safe. When putting this shawl on, the arms are skin tight and there is no way I can button it closed. I would compare this to most places 2XLs.

Cut very small. Husband is a large, I got an extra large to fit over clothes. Doesn't even fit him, I would say a medium or small.
