This replaced the original button which started to peel. This one is enclosed in the clear plastic outer case so that cannot happen again. It looks very nice and the blue surround matches many interior touches and my preferred blue accent light settings.

Fits perfect in my 2012 320i, super easy to instal. I didnt use the sticky thing they send wi the it to remove the old one, i took the whole thing out and pushed the old button out, just to be sure not to break anything.

The quality of the product is excellent. I used the included sticky putty to remove the old button and it worked perfectly on the first attempt. This new one simply clips back in the old slot. The feel and look is much more premium than the stock ignition button. It also glows very nicely with an almost 3d effect.

After reading the previous reviews & considering the price point, I decided 2 take my chances...Most consumers were dead-on!1) The pix match the actual look & quality2) Installation was (fairly) easy, but requires a moderate amount of patience & steady hands...I removed the Start/Stop Button completely, used the provided tiny Flathead 4 disassembly & swapped the actual S/SB out. BTW, when doing so, remember the electrical connections' orientation & 4 GOD'S SAKE, bont loos the 2 little rubber "plungers"!!!3) Fitment isn't "Perfect". The S/SB does fit, but it's about 2-3mm smaller than OEM. It protrudes about 1-2mm out from the original "whole" as well. I'm pretty meticulous & was considering trying 2 mod/trash it for this reason alone, but after so many other folks were like: It's fine, I decided 2 leave it...Still messes w/me sometimes...BUT, O.C.D. aside, if u have large hands, or need to SEE the SSB from behind the steering wheel, this could get annoying. However, it's well made, well back-lit & presents a very nice visual upgrade w/o the over-the-top "BLING" so many other so-called Amazon Interior Upgrades have available. I'm a dude...I want a LITTLE bit of style. Not rhinestones & boa feathers, LoLz. In enough words, this is nice 4 a nice price. I still kept the OEM just in case it yellows or decingrates over time...I just don't trust China like that🤔
