I wish there was some form of protection, I keep sticking myself because the needles go right through the padding. Maybe I'm so used to my old (antique) pin cushion, I've never had a wrist pin cushion before.

This wrist pin cushion makes having your pins close by so convenient. The wrist strap is adjustable and the cushion holds several pins. I always have mine on when ever I'm sewing in case I need to pin or un-pin at any moment. With this tool I'm not loosing pins by setting them on a table or having them fall on the floor. The price is great and you get two of them so you have a spare.
