I just installed this battery replacement for my OR500LCDRM1U. I watched a two minute video on YouTube. The battery pack is hot swappable! Who knew? It literally took me 15 minutes and that is only because it was the first time I've done it.Update: after letting the battery charge up for ~24 hours, i did a "pull the plug" test. Bingo! Back in business.

My UPS was having issues where it would lose power nearly every morning and I would have to go power cycle the whole network rack to bring internet access back online. I ordered a replacement battery as the system reported 100% capacity of the bad battery but it would die immediately if I unplugged it from the wall. This was a no-nonsense replacement, 1 or 2 screws I believe and was back in service in only a few minutes.

You’ll need to cut the zip tie that ties the two leads together and then you can pull the cable out a bit to get some extra length. It’s practically impossible to install without this little mod on my unit.

I bought a CyberPower OR500 about 5 years ago and recently found that it would not switch to battery backup during a power outage. Annoyingly, unless you pay an absurd amount for the network expansion card, there is no way to diagnose whether the problem is a dead battery. I correctly guessed that the battery was dead after installing this replacement battery. UPS works fine again.I had no issues with the length of the cable. The cables are secured tightly but you can still pretty easily pull on the cables to get the correct length.It is probably worth the extra money to buy a CyberPower branded replacement battery instead of 3rd party with unknown quality, especially if you don't have the network adapter to diagnose battery issues.

This replacement worked perfect with my Cyberpower OR500LCD. As one reviewer noted, the negative cable was a bit short out of the box. I found there is actually some slack. Just pull on the cable a bit and it will come out. If you need to you can pop one of the batteries out of the tray so you can get to all the extra slack in the cable. The batteries pop right back into the tray no problem. Anyway I am pleased with the purchase.
