Perfect fit for my Jeep Cherokee Laredo 2004. Although not the same manufacturer as the original, the quality is very compatible and looked identical. I installed it and it is working well. Runs very quitely.

The fit is snuggly buggy for my 2004 Grand Cherokee. Works fine, hopefully for a long time.

Economical alternative to buying from major auto parts store. I did buy extended warranty, but it probably wasn't necessary

I ordered this alternator because the one on my 2002 Grand Cherokee died. I confirmed the problem with a systems check at our local Advanced Auto Parts store. I would probably have bought the replacement there but they were out of the one I'd have chosen. There are so many to choose from on Amazon but I like to read reviews before making my choices. This one fit my Jeep perfectly and was easy to install, so far it's working perfectly (after about a month). I'm adding a photo of the old one by the new one.

Works fantastic. Perfect fit & easy install on 2004 Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee with the 4.0L inline 6.Keep your old HW for the install. Clean your vehicle’s wiring harness plugs before install.EDIT: Two years and 20k later, alternator is whining and needs to be replaced

Gave it three stars because that's how long it lasted. 25,000 miles. As soon as I started it the other day, I got a "check gauges" warning followed by the ABS and brake lights on the cluster. Volt gage is reading almost into the red, so about 16 to 17 volts were in my electrical system. Made it home, hoping it was a weird Jeep glitch. The next morning, it was fine for the first 10 minutes or so, and then the condition above started. So after researching, I concluded it must need a new PCM, since that's where Mopar puts the regulator. I ordered one, but I decided to install some new grounds and have the alternator checked because the condition really only starts when the car is warmed up. Alternator tested fine, but I bought a new one anyway. Installed it, and problem solved. Don't need a new PCM after all. Just a crappy alternator wasn't taking the signal from the original PCM.Some parts aren't worth going with the lowest price on amazon.

correct part for vehicle. ease of installment not rated because it depends on user. Easy for home auto mechanic. Thickness not rated, because it's not relevant to an alternator. Price was good, but as with MOST Amazon car parts, there is no environmentally/financially effective way to dispose of old car (ie, credit upon return to store). This is an environmental issue, and a pocketbook issue.Alternator installed now for six months on daily driver: no issues.
