I thought my 20 yr old Insinkerator garbage disposal had finally died, but it came back to life. I didn't realize running hot water through it was a no-no. Once it cooled down and I reset the breaker, it resumed working. When it finally gets changed out, I will want to replace the dishwater drain hose. This adaptor is just like the one that is there now, except new, so it looks like what I will need.Nice kit. the hose is nice and flexible, and the clamps appear to be of the standard for such things.

I recently replaced my dishwasher, and this time it is draining through the garbage disposal. The drain line from the dishwasher and the drain port in the disposal are different sizes, and one doesn’t slip over the other. I mentioned it to a neighbor and he suggested this adapter.It is exactly what I needed! Being rubber it was easy to cut back to the size I needed. The largest side connected to the disposal, and – using the supplied clamps – I connected to dishwasher discharge. There have been no leaks, I’m not concerned with it popping loose, and it is doing its job.I recommend this adapter… before ordering online I checked prices locally. The same part was nearly twice as expensive.

I like that this includes the barbed adapter, so should be a complete kit for any dishwasher drain hose. The rubber piece is good quality and heavy duty. All hose clamps are 100% stainless steel. The worm drive one is good quality, but the spring clamps seem to be a bit weak, as you can install them by hand without much force. They do seem to be tight enough to prevent leaks, and overall this kit worked well for me.

Held up really well so far. It’s been a week and no leaks so I’m very very happy. My garbage disposal was backing up into my dishwasher and food was back flowing so I hooked up a one way check valve and I needed this to connect it to the garbage disposal. Highly recommend it.

I needed something that I didn't have a lot of specs on. A friend asked me to help him fix some leaks at his mom's place which is rather remote. She knew the leak was under the sink and was worse when the dishwasher was run but that's about all the info he could get from her. We were hoping to get it all fixed in one afternoon trip so we took some "universal" fittings with us. this was one of them. This unit worked fine in repairing the dish-washer to garbage disposal problem. Tightening up some connections, applying some plumbers putty and even a little duct tape took care of all the other problems under the sink. Nice adapter, good fit, only time will tell if holds up.
