This was a fun rewarding projectExcellent qualityLove the leather feel of the backing fits the 18x18 pillow form perfectlyThe printed canvas kind of got off a bit from the grid but by doing the mirror imagine this was easily fixedThese products always say to follow the printed canvasAs an experienced 'hooker' (lol) I recommend following the counted paper grid that's included

I will preface this with the fact that I'm only about 30% through this kit. Additionally, I've only completed a couple latch hook kits, so I'm fairly beginner with latch hook. However, I've done a lot of crafts that work with a grid, so I'm accustomed to reading a pattern.This is pre-printed and your design would probaby turn out fine just following the printed version. It is slightly off from the grid directions though- so pick one or the other and then stick with what you chose and it should be fine. I'm accustomed to following a grid, so I opted for that.I like the yarn that came with this, it's soft yarn. It does unravel a little bit, but that's fine for this kind of project. The latch hook works well. Sometimes the one that comes in the kit doesn't work great, but, this one seems sized correctly for the yarn and canvas.This is a pillow case- it has an offwhite/ivory fabric back with overlapping edges to put a pillow inside of it. I'm guessing a 16"X16" pillow would be the right size, but, I haven't attempted that yet. If I remember to, I'll update when I get to that step.At the time of this review this was under $14 which seems a really decent price for this kit.

This kit includes everything you need except the pillow form- all the yard, a sturdy hook, simple to follow directions and binding materials. This would make a great rainy day project for a crafty kid/teen or a great evening project for adults into latch hook. Much nicely quality than my local craft store and the finished pillow will look great with any decor. Would make a nice gift, either as a kit or a finished pillow.

Bought for my mother in-law. She loved the brightness of colors and when completed looked beautiful!
