Broke the first time of trying to operate the blend door. Bought for my stepdaughters 2007 jeep Grand Cherokee. Broke the first time using. Might work better if made out of metal. The plastic is just too weak.

I would have froze all winter if I hadn't found this on Amazon. I needed it to repair the blend door, which was stuck on cold. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and it didn't take long to complete the repair. It was very reasonably priced, well worth it to be warm all winter.

Instructions included coupled with a youtube video made this install quick and easy. Saved me from replacing the whole unit. I can now switch from AC to heater easily. I did not have dual climate control.

Fragile is an understatement. Idea is good, but not worth it. I had heat for 2 days. Had a warm day, so turned the heat down. Put the heat on the following morning, but no heat. Took it apart and the " U" shaped insert broke off (picture 1). Put the second one on and tried to turn it by hand and it does not provide enough torque to turn the door, so the piece started to break again. You can see it in picture 2.

After discovering why my heat wasn't working(blend door stuck open) I saw a dorman video on YouTube for this kit. Nobody in the united states had this kit in stock. In fact dorman was unaware of this, or was dedicated to other projects. Believe me, nobody in the u.s. could get this kit.Amazon, being the well oiled machine that it is, contacted dorman, and made it happen.I waited 3 weeks for this part to go on Amazon shelves and reviewed my order.You can manually close the blend door from the passenger side of the box in any Chrysler jeep product.But if you want to be able to adjust the temperature of your heat, you need the actuator to do the work via your temperature control.That's where this kit comes in.It allows you to move your actuator motor to the passenger side of the HVAC box. I am as happy as can be, and I did it myself.This can save you from a 2000$ repair.
