This was useful when I replaced the existing motor BUT I had to get a new regulator "frame" as well so I ended up with 2 motors so I swapped this one into my new 2nd regulator - either way it works!(In all honesty I had my mechanic do it as I didn't like my chances of the glass falling whilst I was monkeying around)The window goes up quickly and no groaning or weird sounds - happy so far.Why not 5 stars? - it was packaged poorly and I was hoping it hadn't been banged around too much but, it's not a heavy thing to begin with.

the first one had that it was the rear drivers side but it was not. 804 drivers side rear door.

Absolutely OEM quality. I purchased this to replace my worn out driver side power window motor RHS. Don’t replace the regulator (frame mechanics), just the motor. This unit matches Australian RHD car.

i spent a winter mulling how to fix the front passenger side (in the US) window on my daughter's forester. the standard approaches you'll see online is a long involved procedures requiring removing the glass and regulator, etc etc. i eventually found this procedure that let me change just the motor: [...]i purchased this dorman motor and it was perfect fit. it is a very easy job if you follow this procedure and have the right tool (#3 phillips screwdriver bit and 1/4 wrench).

the product states its for the driver side but in fact it's for the passenger side. I'm glad I read the reviews before purchasing which told me this information. this is the only downfall because it's not listed accurately. as far as the actual product itself it works beautifully

Fitted to Forester 2litre turbo 2004 .The unit was exactly as described, works perfectly been in place for 2 months now with no problem, cannot believe how this unit can be manufactured for this price.
