I did not have any problem taking this drone light on or off my drone. What I did have a problem with is how close the flashlights are to the propellers, they are really close to the rear propellers. For that reason, I never put my drone in flight with this item on, for fear that if one of the flashlights slipped and hit a propeller, my drone would come crashing down out of the sky.The flashlights are cheap battery operated, that are not all that bright. The body is 3D printed with PLA plastic, when I believe PETG filament would have been a much better filament to use.I can not recommend this product for fear your drone could be damaged by this product, and it is not legal for nighttime flying.

This set of clip-on drone lights is a decent concept but has problems. First off, there aren’t any strobes - these are cheapie pocket flashlights. They’re pretty bright, but they don’t blink and they aren't rechargeable - you'll need 1 AAA battery each. The clip that holds them on the body of the drone is 3D-printed plastic and unlike other reviewers I was able to clip it in place, and later remove it, without undue stress on my Mini 4K drone or the clip. So that’s a positive. The arms of the clip that hold the flashlights can be adjusted to point the flashlights up, down, or forward at pretty much any angle using the included Allen wrench, and almost all of those angles will cause your propellers to smash into the flashlights. And if you point the flashlights straight down, the props will be ok but you’d better plan to catch the drone by hand when it’s time to land, because if you descend to the ground the flashlights will hit first and then the drone will topple forward and smash the spinning props onto the ground. Same hazard for takeoff. In the product’s defense, the arms and flashlight grips are quite secure and there isn’t much chance of the lights coming loose during flight. This would have been a good add-on if they’d included small, flat LED lights to go on the arms, but there’s just too much risk to the props for me to want to use this. Not recommended.

This piece of junk is NOT a strobe and it almost tore the entire bottom of my drone off. When it digs into the vents on the bottom of the drone and when trying to remove it, it acts like a pry bar. Add a couple bucks and get something that’s recharchable, something that fits and something that won’t break your drone…
