These are GIG worthy DRUM Sticks. The rubber grips will work well in short durations. If I was playing for an hour or more, I might consider removing the rubber to prevent a blister. I know rubber has it's pros and cons. The pro is when your hands aren't grippy they're a good warm-up stick until your hands get tacky...because if you're like me, the non rubberized grips tend to slide right out of your dry hands from not having enough oil in your fingers. The quality of the stick is pretty amazing.I knew I liked them right from the weight of them.and when I started playing the drums, the sticks were very reactive and predictable.I didn't feel like I was going to break them or lose them mid beat.

I got these sticks for a family member who plays drums in high school band and I think they are a good choice. they seem very sturdy and the anti-slip covers are interesting - I had not seen those before. They seem well-attached and not likely to slip off under heat or pressure. The balance feels pretty good and the weight is comfortably solid but not overly heavy, to my inexperienced self. If he's happy with them, I would buy them again if needed. They look like pretty good quality for his needs, and the $13 price for two pairs is very fair, in my book.

These drumsticks are a pretty good. Made from American hard wood, they offer excellent durability and balance, making them suitable for drummers of all levels. I am a heavy hitter and they are fairly sturdy. Of course, any wood stick is going to eventually turn into shavings but these are still going for me. Their straight design ensures consistent rebound and control, whether you’re practicing or performing live. Lightweight as a stick can be for the wood it is made from, yet sturdy, they feel great in hand and produce a crisp sound on drums and percussion instruments alike. These sticks are even good for the experienced player to deal with precision and reliability. Good sticks.

Good set of 5A sticks. The ant-slip handle that is over molded is a little on the short side. For smaller hands that may still be choking up on the sticks they will likely be out of the anti-slip area. For those who don't choke up on the stick, the anti-slip area is likely not big enough as few people play without at least a little bit of the stick protruding out the back of the hand. I think with just a little more anti-slip applied it could be a 5 star set of sticks.

I'm a not-so-serious beginner on drums but I got these sticks to see if I'd like the non-slip grip better than a plain wooden stick. To me, they seem almost identical to my Vic Firth 5A sticks except that the tip on these is obviously fatter than tip on the Vic Firths. For me (remember a beginner), that's insignificant and the low cost of these sticks makes them attractive. However, I suspect it does change the feel and tone a bit and that might be a consideration for an accomplished drummer. But if that's not a factor for you, I think you'd like these sticks. They are also probably a good choice for a young child who might loose them since that would cost you less than the big-name brands.

In the picture, the left set of sticks are the Anti-Slip handles in question, Hickory 5A. The right set of handles is Vic Firth Hickory 5A.Off the bat you can tell there is a size difference, and the tip is much larger. Because of the size difference and the added anti slip covering, they are a bit heavier than the Vic sticks. I don't love the anti slip covering, it felt weird, but maybe with use I'd get use to it.

These are good basic drum sticks. I've been using them for a month and a half now, and they're holding up pretty well.I was interested in trying out sticks with rubber grips, and these are good quality grips, but turns out I prefer playing without them. The extra grip makes extra friction, which kinda rubs my hands raw. But I'm going to keep using them!

THE GRIP IS GREAT! I typically use Zildjan dripped sticks which are expensive as ****. These sticks have very thick and durable grip and importantly it DOESN’T SLIDE off the sticks under the heat of my hands like most of the other cheap “dipped” sticks do.
