Marshalltown 39 Drywall & Plastering Rubber Float 9 X 4 X 5/8 Coarse Cell

Marshalltown 14406 9 x 4 x 5/8 Coarse Cell Red Rubber Float has a 5/8-inch thick red sponge rubber pad cemented to aluminum backing. This float is used by plasterers and other finishers for textured finishes. The sponge is a coarse pad and the float has a smooth handle.

Es gibt verschiedene Arten eine Spachtelmasse zu glätten ... mit diesem Schwamm geht das sehr gut da er sich nicht so sehr an der Spachtelmasse festsaugt.

I have been using MARSHALLTOWN The Premier Line 39 9-Inch by 4-Inch Coarse Pad Red Rubber Floats since 1986. I'm ordering my third set today. I use them daily for pushing wood over a 16" jointer. These push pads are perfect for holding the wood down on the outfeed table, and establishing a flat surface on rough lumber.these pads also work well to slide wood over a woodworking shaper. Today I ran 600 sash parts over a shaper using my old pads that bought in 1996. The rubber has worn off quite a bit in 24 years.One thing Ilike about these pads is the aluminum backing. If the pad gets too close to a shaper cutter, it won't hut the cutter.I have no idea what these pads are supposed to be for, but every woodshop should have a few sets.

I have Microjig push blocks (https://www.amazon.com/GRR-RIP-BLOCK-Pushblock-Router-Jointer/dp/B00DNX3N7S/) that cost much more than this one, but the MARSHALLTOWN pad works better and are much cheaper. I use the MARSHALLTOWN pads exclusively on my jointer, bandsaw, and router table.

Like the other reviewers, I use this as a safety device on my jointer. It works beautifully. The size and weight ensure stability; the grippy rubber pad holds the wood tightly.

This is far and away the greatest 9-inch by 4-inch Coarse Pad Red Rubber Float I have ever purchased. I really can't say how much of a difference this amazing product has made in my life. In fact if I were to lose it life would be empty and meaningless.

I use it for woodworking, not for intended purpose. E.g., Running boards through table saw and jointer. Comfortable. Sticks well, doesn't slip. Limited to face cutting or milling given the width.

I got this to use as a push block to push stock through my wood jointer. It works perfectly; the rubber bottom grips the wood very well. I got another brand at one of the home centers and it doesn't work as well; I'll probably get another Marshalltown.
