This is the best ice melt, works instantly, very expensive but worth it. Whole Foods Market sold it for $10 for a few years it has now increased to $19.00 . It is pet safe my main reason for the purchase, my cats are exclusively indoor, but I am concerned for any strays or for cats that are allowed outside. This ice melt doesn't damage property as others can. This is the first time the item has been on back order from WF, purchased through Amazon was surprised it came from Home Depot. Interesting, searching for the item HD had it listed for $14.00, went to the store was told it was not available.

My favorite, it lasts for years in the bottle in the basement and does not get hard or turn into water. It's expensive, so I use it sparingly. And it works sparingly too.

Scattered the granules on snowy/icy walkway and very quickly the slipperiness was gone. This is a protection against liability (no deliver-persons will slip and fall when delivering to our home.

I love this snow melt. I feel like I get my money's worth and it works well and quickly. Not having to worry about my pets or other animals getting poisoned by this ice melt really matters to me. The jugs being lightweight also make it easy for me to spread it over the wide area that must be cleared.

This stuff is inferior ice melt, compared to many other brands. It barely melts a half inch sheet of ice,and then you still have to use a shovel to clear it out.For the little jug you get for this price,it is a waste of time, and money.

I live right on the corner between the residential area and downtown of my small township and the council is a pain about issuing citations if the sidewalks aren't kept 100% clear. Unfortunately, the sidewalk is at such an angle that it gathers water with the slightest rain or snow so there is ice to.deal with along the edges all winter.I wasn't comfortable putting down regular ice melt because my sidewalks also happen to be very well trafficked by dogwalkers as well as a multitude of wildlife. So I went looking for an animal-friendly alternative.Ultimately I chose this one as it seemed to be the very safest option, not for the reviews of utility. I figured as long as I proved I was trying with the granules all over I'd be fine. That said - it worked! I bought it at the end of winter so I'm still a little leery that it would last long because I had to spread kind of a lot. But the ice would start crackling and breaking upon contact. At that point I did some work kicking at and busting up the broken ice, but I didn't expect anything else. After I bought this, my sidewalks were the clearest on the block and stayed that way. I didn't notice any pitting damage to my sidewalks as was said to be a possible side effect. I'll spend the money to buy more next year when my supply inevitably runs out even if it is a bit pricey.All-around, my own dog approved.
