The factory igniter went out on my furnace after about 5 years. It was easy enough to replace but I needed a replacement quickly to keep the family comfortable during winter. These are hard to find at local shops but luckily Amazon had a universal one that was a direct fit and even directly plugged into my furnace’s plug. The photo is of the factory one that went out. While the factory one has a different shaped element, both are 120VAC and and work the same. As soon as I replaced the broken one with the replacement, the furnace fired right up (no pun intended).

We ordered this to replace ours that burned out. We installed it and still nothing will fire so we hired hvac pro to assess. Our pro had to install a completely different igniter kit because this one that we ordered does not get hot enough.Best of luck.

Great replacement. So far so good. It has been over a month of freezing weather and my furnace is still going strong. Glad the adapter was included. Originally had an 80v ignitor. I had the control board in my furnace replaced last year and the ignitor plug is different than original.

El empaque estaba bien protegido pues es una pieza muy delicada. Llego 12 horas después de haberlo comprado. El ignitor es una pieza muy común que deje de funcionar y este remplazo me salvo de pasar mucho frio y ahorre al menos $300 por comprar esta pieza e instalar la yo, solo tarde 10 minutos. Y ahora la calefacción anda bien. Disculpen por no agregar foto pero nos urgía instalar la pieza tal vez cuando la vuelva a reemplazar le tome foto.

My furnace wouldn't light automatically. The blower would start and about a half-minute later the gas valve would click open but close several seconds thereafter (I assume because a flame wasn't detected) and the furnace would shut down. As a temporary measure, if one was ready with a grill ignitor, one could get it to light manually, but that was required each time the furnace started if one wanted to heat the house. When I removed the previous ignitor I noticed a crack in the heating element. This Emerson 767A-378 Hot Surace Ignitor was delivered quickly and was a perfect fit. It began glowing before the gas valve opened and ignited the gas when it was released to the furnace. Now my furnace is working again!

Fits fine and works well. I replace every season as they only last about a season and 1/2. Preventive maintenance beats emergency maintenance every time.
