Actually used this to add insulation to muffler and over exhaust manifold to help reduce under hood temperatures, seems like good legitimate fiberglass, no discoloring or issues from exhaust heat, and making a nice difference in terms of heat management, will update in a few months if I notice any degradation or issues.

I recently installed a new exhaust on my Suzuki S40 and it was too loud and running a bit too lean. I took the muffler off and wrapped the baffle with a layer of this fiberglass mat. The product did exactly what it was supposed to do, adding a slight bit of back pressure and buffering the sound level slightly. I still get some deceleration pops, but not as badly as before.While I have no complaints about the mat itself, I do find it to be on the expensive side. I'd consider it a good value at $16-$19. But at $29, it's too expensive for a sheet of fiberglass.
