I'm giving this two stars because it functions well as a fan, and is quiet. But it does not cool the air at all. I ran it on "fan" mode, and also on "cool" mode (with the water tank filled with water from the refrigerator, and all three ice packs in place), and I honestly could not tell a difference in the air temperature.

Do not buy this please. When I searched this item for some odd reason what came up was great reviews. Now that I have the item and tried it I found it to be trash. Amazon should be ashamed to let sellers sell junk like this on their website. Please save yourself the time, money and trouble. Do not buy!!!! Oh and it makes creaking noises and doesn't cool like it says.

Cold Water bucket quickly Evaporates water from the machine starting at the maximum level to minimum in less than 2 hours.I did not want to burn the motor.Also, the manual explains cleaning the water bucket from mildew or other stuff but the screws are very tiny and hard to install back since the motor is tiny and has no place to stop dangling and since the bucket is also inside the actual AC unit, it’s hard to reinstall. Very frustrating. Took me 30 mins to install 2 screws and reinstall the motor back properly.This product has potential but it’s far from a finished product.

Doesn’t cool off the room like it says it does. I’ve use ice cold water and the ice packs that come with it and it just doesn’t do what they say it does.

I bought this mainly to use as a portable ac unit and I’m truthfully not impressed. When I compare it to a $20 fan from Walmart they both feel the exact same as far as air flow/cooling capabilities go. I wanted to see how cold it could really make my room as the sun faces my window and even with my blackout curtain up it’s still very very hot in my room which if I’m honest is quite small. I experimented with it and added two ice packs, a bowl full of ice cubes, and freezing cold water and even then when compared to a standard box fan it does the exact same thing and makes me feel no cooler, so probably gonna return it after just two days of having it.
