I bought this for a Veterinary clinic. Have had for 3 years. As clinics go, it does not always get emptied as it should and it still runs beautifully. We have replaced the cloth filters once a year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I have wooden floors in the main part of my house and 3 dogs, one is a husky the shed an extra dog a day. A broom and dust pan weren't cutting it and was hard on my back. With the eye vac sweeping is now something I look forward to (I know sounds weird). The suction power is amazing and picks up every bit of dirt along with dog hair. It's holds a ton too so I don't have to empty a lot, maybe about once a month. It even strong enough to clean the hair off the broom which is absolutely crazy awesome. The only problem I have had with it is I leave it on auto and sometimes with me dogs pass it too closely the sensor picks it up and it turns on. They have learn to walk farther away from it but even that, is not even a problem.

Why did I not buy this sooner?!I love this thing. I have a Neato that is awesome for picking up messes, but I have a table with seating for 10 and it's such a problem for it to get around all the chairs, so I find myself sweeping every day... Not to mention my 5 year old eats every meal like he's the Cookie Monster so my floors are perpetually crumb riddled.While I was at my friend's hair salon, I noticed this vacuum and I thought it was a good idea to have since I also cut my boys hair.Since it has come in, I can't even express the happiness this simple machine gives me. I use it for EVERYTHING. I put it near where my son eats and I just sweep everything to it and it automatically sucks it all up. I also have a sheddy dog and use one of those rubber hair sweepers and it sucks it up without leaving a trace. I cut everyone's hair this week and it cut so much time off the clean up. I didn't even have to bend over. The vacuum has great suction, the compartment holds a lot. I have zero complaints. I would definitely recommend this to ANYONE that has to sweep anything.

Easy to unboxed and set up, no parts to assemble, just plug-in and use… A bit of an taping and check the filter but otherwise basically ready to go. Had a little difficulty figuring out the modes for some reason when I turned the knob to auto it didn’t work as I expected but when I did the opposite of what I thought it ended up working so as they say whatever works! Seems to be doing fine with the blue light on waiting for me to sweep toward it and then I have press the button and then it stops. Not Sure why when it’s on what I believe to be auto mode that it won’t stop suction once either there is no longer hair or junk there nor if I tap the button. But if I do it in the other mode it functions. Will troubleshoot and see but overall I like how it works.Not too heavy to move around the house if you decide to plug it in elsewhere or use it for a party in it and we need to move it to another corner etc. Great for tiny living in studios hotels etc...college Apts this will be great!!!I also bought the suggested rubberized broom extension sweeper and then pleased that I did. It reached all the way under the large king bed in a hotel and an apartment and was able to pick up pet hair and even grab a few things that had rolled under the bed.Very handy to combine and was ease to used to tap the button on the machine instead of using my foot. I recommend that even if you have a broom that you like you might wish to buy that one it seem to keep the hair from flying around before it got near the machine the way the other brooms can sometimes disperse dust and hair into the air more as you direct it toward your dustpan or whichever.I will update the review on the performance of the filter as I purchased the extra better filter separately and would recommend to do that for anyone with allergies or health problems or just in general as exhaust can never be good and more filtration is usually always better.I doubt it affects the performance of the machine much and if I find it does I will update the review. We’ll see how long it lasts with normal to medium use as I have two very short haired small dogs but still it will build up and I’d like to see how quickly compared to the life of the filter inside and the exhaust filter.Really love that I feel I don’t have to take out a vacuum with hard surface floors and can just use a swiffer dry cloth or the rubberized broom to direct debris toward the machine and then if I wish to use a baby wipe or other wet wipes which I attached to the regular swiffer handle since I am completely chemically sensitive and cannot use many products without getting sick, then I can wet clean/damp clean the floor that way after I sweep toward the Eyevac...I could see her some pets and maybe small children might be a bit surprised by the automatic functionality of the noise coming on if they go play near it or some thing sets it off so it might be good to consider your families or personal needs depending and choose them out accordingly.Otherwise seems very safe and easy to open the compartment for emptying debris and you certainly could unplug it or put it on a power strip and turn it off to save reserve power when you’re not cleaning all day every day but if like me you may sweep at all times of the day, it’s nice to be able to leave it on.Overall very very happy with the purchase. May buy one for my folks for Xmas Bc they have cats and pergo...perfect!

We have 2 Golden Retrievers, a cat, and a husband that walk in leaves, grass, etc. The entry hall can be ankle deep in “stuff” by the end of the day. I have limited mobility and am not allowed to vacuum, carry groceries, step sideways, or walk up more than two steps. Or I have sharp pain and fall down. But I can sweep!! My husband bought an EyeVac a month ago for the entry hall and it is SO efficient! I use a child’s broom and the piles of fluffy Goldens’ cotton candy hair cling to the broom. I lightly place the small head broom up to the EyeVac and *poof* it is gone!! Then I put the broom head under the EyeVac and it vacuums the broom clean! I sweep the entry hall multiple times a day now and it only takes seconds with no effort.I decided to get a second one for the kitchen/sun room this week and it arrived yesterday. During the winter my husband brings in a very old fern that is 8 feet across. If you have a fern you know how they drop leaves. Next to the fern is a bird cage with seed scattered everywhere. Everything was swept and sucked into the EyeVac in seconds!! The powerful little machine did not hesitate dealing with the large pile! This morning I saw a stink bug crawl from the fire wood stack to the front of the EyeVac and it was sucked up too. I keep both machines on “auto”.If you can’t tell, I am thoroughly delighted with my two EyeVacs. What a relief that I can finally keep the two messiest floors clean without pain and stress. Next I want to get one for the master bedroom near the dog beds where the hair really accumulates. But I will have to wait awhile for that one.If you are deliberating on an EyeVac.....get it!!
