It takes a large phillips screwdriver and channel locks to break loose. After I got it in, and hooked up it works very well.

Does not come with a rod & doesn’t mention it. It’s pain to take off the rod from the older one in order to place it in the newer one for it to work or be able to install in the car.

The part went in and stopped the buzzing sound when locking the door. Be aware that you have to switch over a cover plate from the old unit
