My son used it on baseboards to drive staples into the wood. Then we filled the holes, sanded and painted.

I was framing out a couple of interior doors in my house using 1/4" (narrow) crown staples. Some times the staple gun I use does not set the staple all the way below the surface of the wood. I got this to finish setting those staples. It works great!

I couldn't find a staple set anywhere, so I probably overpaid for this little guy. But it worked incredibly well for a job where I was installing painted trim. I'm not sure how well it would fair with a stain ready project, but if you're leaving staples proud, nothing is gonna beat setting them with this!

Will set crown staples with ease. Stays on the staple while setting.

This might be fine for some carpentry stuff, but I needed it for setting finish staples on poorly built split-jamb doors from menards in my house. The tool has the right size recess for the 1/4 crown, but it's way too big and deep. so you end up with a much bigger hole in the cheap door trim trying to push the staples to recess.
