For those with a larger non standard keyboard, this is the only option. Period. The question is not whether it is good for the job, this is the only credible device for the job which will actually fit a normal desk or table and/or a person. I should know... I use the late 90's Wave 2 Keyboards which are the largest keyboards due to their correct location of a glide point pad on the right combined with a split full size keyboard angled for correct wrist allignment. For all of the focus which we place on ergonomics today, the keyboard tray options are largely poorly designed.I pored through all of the options on Amazon and was becoming convinced that I either needed to spend a few hundred dollars or design my own tray. I would have spent the cash but not one of them would fit a standard Jarvis ergonomic desk, which is essentially only a flat table with some horizontal support bars and electronics to adjust the table height. They all were so bulky and over designed that the installations required unbelievably deep extension under the desktop, and many were so large that they would be unusable in a sitting position.. When I found this product I thought that it was too good to be true, but it does the job.If there were credible alternatives I would give this 4 stars because the slide out mouse tray is somewhat chintzy (I use both the glide point and the mouse on occasion). I will reinforce it at some point, but I can't see deducting a star from the sole product on the market that handles a large keyboard on a Jarvis desk... something which ought to have dozens of solutions.

I purchased the Fellowes Office Suites Deluxe Keyboard Drawer for a desk that I just finished building. I built it to regular desk height specs, knowing a keyboard tray would be a must. Having said that, the desk I built has two distinct areas being that I work from home and am also a writer. I want to give both parts of my life their own space with their own monitors rather than feel when I am writing that I cannot escape work. The next few weeks for me will be the true test of this tray to see if I will buy another for the remaining section of my desk or if I will pursue other options.I want to give this thing a 5 star rating. I really do. But that would mean it is perfect, and it is not. But after having only just receiving and installing it yesterday, I feel the rating is definitely worth 4 stars. Many reviewers note the mouse tray as flimsy. They are not totally incorrect, because it does feel that way but not to the point that I am worried about it. Then again, if you are using your keyboard slide-out as a means of supporting yourself, it is probably going to break. Having said that, I wish it were stronger but feel confident that it will last for a while with proper use.Installation was pretty easy. I did skip a step which made things difficult for myself, but that's on me. Just don't forget to remove the template before you attach the thing. I also opted to not drill the holes and just set the screw into the bracket in one motion. Hence why I had to loosen to retrieve the instructions. But for me this was still easier than starting pilot holes with a drill-bit. I also moved the template back some as the design is set for the front lip of the tray to protrude out from under the desk. I did not want this, so I moved the template back about a half and inch or so. Fits my need well that way.The tray itself, for me, is a bit too wide. I push my keyboard all the way to the right so that it is center of my body (the tray is center underneath the desk) and I have just over two inches of extra space. Why is this an issue? Because that two inches of space keeps my chair from being able to slide under my desk. But not a huge problem, because the desk needed a tray, and I like that the mouse slide-out is separate from the keyboard tray. For the price, this is not a bad deal and is better than what I could have built for the price. I do wish the mouse slide-out swiveled, but I knew it didn't when I purchased. After a day of use, I feel this is a good, quality product. Will it last? Time and use will tell. I have a feeling that I could have done a lot worse, though.

Easy to install. Works great. Low Profile. Comfortable wrist support. Some have said the mouse pad extension is flimsy and they don't want to put the weight of their hand on it. This is only the case if you don't extend it out all the way. The pad slides under the keyboard for storage (very convenient for smaller desks so you can slide it under the keyboard and then slide the keyboard under the desk). If you extend the mousepad out all the way it kind of locks in place and has plenty of support. If you don't extend it out all the way then it does feel flimsy. Just extend it out all the way.

For a plastic shelf it is reasonably sturdy (except for the mouse tray which does feel a bit flimsy, but then you wouldn't put weight on it). It provides me with the required extra desk space and the correct keyboard height. Particularly useful when drafting essays with open books in front of me! I also like the wrist rest, but as it comes separately it is optional whether to stick onto the front of the shelf. My keyboard is quite small so it rattles around a bit, but a piece of bluetack fixed that very satisfactorily. It was very easy to to assemble and fix under the desk despite the fact that it was impracticable to turn the desk upside down. I did it on my own without any difficulty as the shelf is light enough to hold with one hand while putting the first two screws in (a magnetic screwdriver does help, though!). I found the drilling template to be accurate, the issue was more to tack such a large piece of paper dead straight under the table from below!

After using and installing four different keyboard drawers previously, I decided to give this bargain a try. This my 5th keyboard drawer I have purchased and installed by myself. For the price, it's really a good product. And it's made in Taiwan, which makes better products like ones from Japan most of the time. It comes with a detailed and huge instruction paper that not just shows how to install it step by step, but it's also precisely printed with the full sized chart that allows users to drill the holes by using the positions/holes drawn on the paper. The only down side is the seemingly fragile mouse tray. It looks sturdy enough for some short term use if one's hand is not too heavy. For long term use, I doubt how long will the mouse tray stay in place and not become broken. Overall I'd like to give this product a five-star rating for it's good value/design.
