The drum has the highest pitch I've seen on a hand drum, so it adds a bit of variety to my (small) collection, but it has a bummer of a defective area (so thin it's actually transparent) on the head that I wouldn't have accepted in a retail situation, or if I'd have seen that side of it on the site. I know, natural and all that, and we're not supposed to care about stains and imperfections on drum heads, but it still bugs me. I don't blame the seller; I blame the manufacture for failing to reject that defective head material in the building process.

We had a drumming circle and all of the participants loved the sound. Easy to hold and made with good material.

I was disappointed. The sound was dull and the skin seemed thin and old. I ordered 3. I returned them.

Great sound!! Super excited for this drum! It was bought for my young baby, as she is learning to drum on things! The only concern I have is that there are a couple thin spots, as almost expected since the head is natural animal skin, just worried that it will not hold up to her wear and tear. We shall see! That is the only reason this didn't get five stars, I would've hoped that I received a solid skin piece.
