I was almost discouraged by the review of putting it on being very difficult, however it actually went on easier than we thought. Yes you have to wiggle it and really tug but if there is at least 2 people doing it, it’s doable.I don’t care that the back is just brown.(from the other review) It’s the back ? Are you only staring at that ? No didn’t think so.I love the design of fall foliage, and mainly chose this one because our original was a floral print from the 2000s (a hand me down from my bfs parents)and the cover finally tore, this was the closest I found to that styleI’m quite happy with it and so is he 🍁🍂

The pattern of leaves and pine needles/cones is lovely and outdoorsy without invoking faux rustic, and the tapestry parts of the fabric feel nice. The one disappointing aspect is the color: one of the photos on the product page shows it with a fair amount of green - realistic for leaves and pine needles - but in fact the green is very subdued, so the overall effect is just brown like the other photos show. The brown back side is fine. Enough of the tapestry goes around the sides that we have not had any problem with the backing being visible.Although the zipper is only on one end, it goes around the corners by about a foot, which helps a lot. Our futon mattress is old and not quite 6" in thickness any more, so we had no problem at all getting the cover on. At this time we've only had it for a week, so I can't comment on durability or cleaning yet.

This futon cover has a beautiful top. But the backing was a not-a-great-match light brown color in a thinner fabric. The zipper only opens one end making mattress insertion very difficult. Our original cover zipper went around three sides so the cover opened flat; just lay the mattress on one side, fold the cover over, and zip the cover up the three sides. The backing of this new cover works itself around to the front over time and shows in ugly ways requiring wrestling the cover back around the mattress. This is just cumbersome. I really prefer the design of our old cover to this new one.
