The patterns are more cartoon than realistic, but can be adapted. They are perfect for my grandkids. Fun to knit, not complicated. Fair amount of making up, as you'd expect, but many parts adapt to circular/4 needle knitting.

Variety of projects at three skill levels. Lots of color pictures and graphs. Special section explaining techniques. Good lay-out for Instructions makes them easy to read and follow.

I have no idea what happened to my other review of this product but here it is in my feed again so I will write it again. I was a bit leery of purchasing this book because of some reviews but one in particular that mentioned some significant pattern errors. Nothing irks me more than politics and badly written books. So, i went looking for any kind of website with errata....never found one. What a knitter to do when you are in love with a book because of one pattern and are unsure? Contact the author! Seriously! She is still out there, has an Etsy page and a website. Though she is in the UK, I emailed here and heard back from her promptly. Like same day promptly! She acknowledged the errors and was really upset with the publisher for not making corrections but assured me that the latest editions of this book are corrected. She says that the first print should be gone now and she is available should you have any problems...Love that!! She honestly cares about here work and is very willing to help if anyone is stuck on a pattern issue. I decided that someone like that was worth my $. I have the book and am currently making that cute little fox scarf. I'm so glad I purchased this book and contacted the author!

I bought this as a present for my older sister. When I got it I flipped through and the patterns are so cute! I want her to make me everything in this book. They are fun and unique. Not your traditional knit designs.

I fell in love with the stole when I saw Louise featured in an English magazine I subscribe to and was thrilled when I saw the book available in kindle. The project are so different and not too difficult, don't know whether I will knit the moose or badger heads but the are just so different from the usual knitting books that I just might! I will certainly make the stole and the tiger rug and .....really there isn't much that I don't love. Being on kindle I hope the graph for the tiger rug is printable otherwise it will be tedious, but everything else the instructions waste clear and easy to follow, mostly intermediate level with a couple beginner's and the tiger rug as advanced. I love the English ideas and I wish more english books would be available on the American site as we in Australia cannot seem to purchase from the UK site.

I ordered this book mainly because of the fox on the title page and I was not disappointed. The instructions are easy to follow and the book is beautiful - great pictures and excellent ideas. The different items are well-chosen and make great presents for friends and family. If you like knitting, this is the book for you!

Just love this amazing book! Louise's designs are right up my street and completely quirky and fab. I am an experienced knitter of many years so they are all pretty straight forward to me, but there are also plenty of patterns in here suitable for beginners and intermediate knitters. .Lots of explanations and photos in the book, but all techniques which are well described, can of course also be found by a quick google or youtube search. Mostly knit flat on straight needles, there are a few that use dpns. The book will suit all levels of knitter. I had the fox stole pattern on the cover from a knitting mag a while ago, but the rest are all newly available as patterns. I personally love the bear coasters which are quick enough to whip up as last minute Xmas presents. The tiger rug I will make for myself and will take a while longer. There are lots of different yarns used which are all currently readily available on the internet, if you can't find them locally (supplier details are included in the book), but, If they are eventually discontinued , no problem as the gauge (tension) has thankfully been included for all the yarns so you can easily swap them for alternatives. If only all knitting books were like this! Thanks for a great book Ms Walker!

I have already made a hat, a stole, and am now working on a coaster. All for Christmas presents. I have only had this book for two and a half weeks. Love the fact that you can be a protector of all living creatures great and small, yet own a "fur" of your own. I plan to make every project before the end of 2015!

I enjoyed this book, but was hoping for more complicated creations. These all seemed geared for the intermediate knitter, or beginner. I have been making very special animal hats, and purses, for several years, with more colors, more details that count in identifying the critter it is meant to be, and I felt everything. These one-of-a-kind pieces are highly sought after and even though the time and effort involved is lengthy and detailed, I am able to be well-paid for my efforts. No item is ever more than $95.00, despite the hours involved. These move best at craft and fiber show events. I do like the fox neck-wrap. I have done several chickens,(with feet and legs atomically correct), bears, (both black and polar), red fox, elephant, and cat. Teens, who are busy becoming "unique" are so attracted to these items. And, the good thing is that they are all 100% wool and will keep them very warm. And, after felting, they will always keep their shapes and be recognizable as to what they were made to be.Keep these coming. We all need to be unique and show our passion! Why would everyone want to look exactly like someone else?

Está bien aunque pensé que sería un libro un poco más extenso y con más patrones. Todavía no he comenzado ningún patrón, así que no puedo valorar si están bien las explicaciones.
