Very disappointed in this product. The colors were nice but every bottle bled . Way to thin for calligraphy even though it said calligraphy ink.Gum Arabic didn't even help. Save your money and shop around.

I got this for some art work I am currently doing. The inks are vibrant and easy to use once you unscrew the cap and pull off the silicone sealer. One drawback for me is that the inks are quite runny. I am working with some art paper that is quite porous and the low viscosity of the inks mean that they tend to bleed into the paper and smudge. I am going to experiment with trying to coat the paper first, perhaps with a thin layer of white clay powder, or even a light spray of sealant.The inks work well on regular paper and would probably work on onion skin, though I haven’t tried the latter.Comes in an attractive box, too.

So the box can't really handle a washing machine but the bottles definitely did and very pleased by it

I love this ink for writing and drawing with glass dip pens. The colors are rich, but don't bleed through a lot of different kinds of papers. The brown especially is my favorite color in the set, it's like a perfect, rich, classy alternative to black. This ink is not waterproof, but does work as a great foundation for watercolor, or on its own with a little water to create gradients and blends. The box it comes in is sturdy and the stoppers in the lids are far less annoying and messy than a lot of other calligraphy inks found on Amazon.I would say my only *minor* nitpick would be that I wish this set had a more true blue, as the blue included has really green undertones and is closer to a teal, whereas the addition of a navy or other tone of blue would have rounded out the collection to near-perfection in my opinion.

This ink really makes an impression with its impressive presentation with such a lovely, classy box and the delightful individual ribbon-esque individual wrapping and labeling. I liked that the kids simply unscrew and there’s no rubber stopper to pull out, because the lid has its own type of barrier to keep the ink in its place. I love how well it sticks to glass calligraphy pens and I’m excited to get more more more!!!

Love these inks they are great the only issue i have with it is the box not closing fully due to the small rope holding it together for display and how tight the packing is which is a postive and negative as you want it to be safe but it is hard to remove.
