This works like a charm. Practice with some scrap molding. Hold firmly in place and go slow with the miter saw cut. Amazed with results.

The included protractor is totally useless. Measures interior corners whose angle is greater than 90 degrees as Less than 90 degrees. Super frustrating. Otherwise, this is a decent tool/kit so far

First time doing crown molding and saw how tricky getting the angles correct are when cutting flat. One of the tutorial videos mentioned this little gem. It holds the crown molding at the correct mounting angle while you make the cuts. Highly recommended to use with your miter saw.

Can I give it ten stars?1. Made in Canada2. Instructions have clear numbered photos of typical 90 degree inside-outside and left-right situations then simple markings on the tool to match each picture. Brilliant!3. Takes all the hassle out of crown miters. No more "turn the crown upside down and backwards" confusion.4. Adapts to 45 degree (most common), 38 degree, and 52 degree crown moldings. Excellent.Even easier than a compound miter saw IMO.

Turned me into a pro overnight. Very straight forward. I still made mistakes but only because I don't know the difference between left and right, inside and outside. Over time I managed to slowly cut away the device in my miter saw so you need to be aware of it when cutting mouldings. Little slices-nothing that ruined the device. The protractor was useless. It kept falling apart. I stopped using it 20 minutes in. I am very happy to have purchased this item.

Never tried to do crown molding, angle measurements seemed like a chore to me. This jig made me look like a 20 year pro. Just great. So pleased with results.

Using the guide allowed for a single cut to get the proper angle. be sure to find a You tube video on using the guide and be clear that the right and left marks refer to right and left of the joint .

I have only used this for inside joints, but it works as described. It is accurate and allows for much more consistent cuts. You need to use the included angle finder, don't assume your corners are true 90, most are not. Instructions are good and are illustrated. I kept them with the jig and saw until I had done it enough to remember which way the table and jig go depending on the side of the cut. This makes crown molding very doable with just a chop/miter saw and not much more. Glad I found this, worth the investment.

I wish the maker could spend a lil more time and money on instructions. I had to go on youtube to see how one guy uses his. his instructions are way better than the ones from the manufacturer
