I own a Tama Titan throne seat that is about 44 years old. My original throne base got stolen with the rest of my drum hardware from my garage. I couldn’t find a Tama throne base, so I decided to go with Gibraltar. The only alteration I had to make the seat fit was I had to order the Gibraltar GP-0029. After removing the Tama seat attachment and installing the GP-0029, I was able to mount the seat to the Gibraltar B9600 Throne Base. It is so sturdy and I’m glad that I was able to repurpose an old comfortable seat to life again!

Fits the Roc n Soc seat perfectly. It's a heavy duty throne base for us heavier drummers. Great buy, yiu won't be disappointed.

Bought a Roc n Soc seat and thought I could put it on a cheap base. I was wrong. I bought this and it worked perfect. Unbelievably sturdy and well made. Gibraltar set the standard with this one.

I had the next lower level Gibraltar throne base and although it was lighter, it was difficult to adjust and maintain height without really cranking down on the height stop. Also I tend to sit high and I was almost backing the tube out of the base. This screw type height adjustment is very easy to dial in exactly where you want it and once it is set, there is no slippage. Also there are a few extra inches of height available which suits me perfectly. It is heavy, but not a concern for me in my home studio. Don't mess around: get this throne and it will last forever.

I bought a comfortable seat, (I'm getting old and fat) and needed the stand. This is sturdy and exactly what my new throne seat demanded. At the same time I was buying lighter weight hardware to save myself from have to lug around so much weight (because I'm getting old and fat, and well, lazier). Now, my throne stand weighs more than all my other hardware combined.

I bought a Mapex t775 throne jad to have been 5 to 6 years ago. Im 6'4" 310 lbs. This throne caved on me at the seat post. / Threaded post. I know i paid $175. For it. I found this Gibraltar base and asked amazon if it would support my size. 2 guys answered and said "its heavy duty" .. Im tellin you" this Throne is Hard Core. Thanks Amazon ' Gibraltar ' Guys who advised me..

This is a nice sturdy heavy duty throne base, very well made. It fit well into the seat top w/backing that I had that was not damaged, just needed to replace the base. Note that if you put it in a bag with your other hardware, the bag will get quite heavy. I split my hardware into 2 smaller bags, and carry the bass drum pedal in a 3rd bag with other smaller accessories.
