About this item

  • MADE IN THE USA: Single 1mm thick sheet installs quickly on top of existing flat build platforms (e.g. borosilicate glass) using the 3M 468MP adhesive transfer tape.
  • ABS and PLA filaments (along with many other materials) print directly on to PEI surface without the need for additional adhesives, tapes, or slurry.
  • REMOVE FILM FROM BOTH SIDES BEFORE USING: Blue protective film guards against scratches during shipping and handling.
  • Reuse for multiple prints, just wipe down with isopropyl alcohol between prints for best results
  • Includes: 1x PEI Sheet, 5x 3M 468MP Adhesive Transfer Tape Sheet (8"x8")

PEI (Polyetherimide) sheets provide a 3D printing build surface that requires no tape, slurry, or adhesive. ABS and PLA both stick extremely well to the surface, which eliminates the need for support rafts used for better adhesion. The printed 3D parts will adhere to the PEI surface on a heated bed, and it will release or pop off when cooling down.

How to Use:

Cut the PEI sheet to size by scoring with a hobby knife. Remove the blue protective film from the PEI sheet. Carefully apply the 3M 468MP Transfer Tape and use it to stick the PEI to the print bed. Five 8 inch by 8 inch sheet adhesives are included in each package. Apply the sheets side by side, being careful not to overlap the edges. We've included an extra one just in case.

Once the PEI sheet is attached, re-level your print bed and you are ready to go!

It helps to wipe the surface down with isopropyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, or soap in between prints. This will ensure the PEI is clean, and help adhesi

I put this on the underside of the glass bed that came with my X5SA 400 Pro. If I ever need to print something that just wont work with PEI, I can just flip over the plate. I was having adhesion issues with PLA on the "lattice glass" that the printer comes with. The first cm of any extrude would not adhere and make it impossible to print stuff that had a lot of fine details on the first layer. With the PEI, this is completely fixed.I have a smaller version on my tented ender 3 and can confirm it works great with ABS and ASA as well. I've had the smaller sheet for over 1.5yr now and do a lot of printing. I've never had to sand it so far and it still works great. The process of installing it is a bit annoying. I got better results this time by adhering the adhesive sheets to the PEI first and then looking through it to see any bubbles and manually press them down. Any bubble that I cant get rid of that way, I used a knife to cut through the adhesive on the back and release the air. Then I stuck the sheet down to the bed. I used the edge of the bed as a guide to score it and some pliers to break off the excess. It would be nice if they sold a version that was already stuck down to a piece of glass to avoid all this, but it's 100% worth the effort.I think the negative reviews must be from people who didn't remove the protective film that is on both sides of the PEI. The adhesion is more consistent than any combination of glass, tape, and glue that I've ever tried.

Was not ready for installation on arrival. 3m adhesive comes in four separate sheets. Good luck aligning all of that!Backing for sheets sticks to adhesive too well and adhesive peeled off, making for a messy transfer!PEI isn't even sticking to the sheets and midway during first print it started peeling from edges.Print didn't want to come off PEI, but PEI sure did want to come off the bed!Now Bed Leveling is a nightmare! DO NOT WANT!

Installed this directly on to the glass bed of my CR6 MAX and the filament sticks very well. My only complaint is that when installing the 3m double sided adhesion sheets you only have one shot. Once it touches the bed if you are not exactly where you want it you can not pull it off to realign it as the glue sticks so well that it comes off the backing paper.

Excellent PEI sheet. The thickness is great for durability. Everything sticks to it that sticks to PEI. Of course nylon doesn't stick to PEI. Use FR4/Garolite for nylon.

Definitely should've believed the other reviewer. This PEI sheet doesn't stick to anything at all, which is not how a quality PEI sheet is supposed to be like. Save your money and find a quality PEI sheet elsewhere. This wasn't any better than my $2.49 410x410mm custom cut piece of glass from Lowe's.

I don't know what the other reviewer for this PEI sheet was expecting, but I found this PEI to be perfect. I've done 100+ hour prints on it, and plenty of thin parts with small build surface contact. It's genuine Ultem 1000, and does exactly what you would expect Ultem to do. I do really wish Gizmodorks offered a 14x14 size because that's what I REALLY need and can't seem to find anywhere for a respectable price. Just be super careful and take your time when applying it, because you don't get any do overs, :).

I put this on my M3D promega which has a 16 3/8" square bed. I adhered it to a 1/16" sheet of aluminum to make it removable from the printer. Stays flat and adheres great (at least with PLA). Just bought a second one so I can swap bed sheets.

Absolutely horrible. This is not my first PEI sheet purchase. I have had a sheet on a piece of borosilicate glass for the last 2 years on my Flashforge Creator. PEI is supposed to be shiny on one side and matte on the other. This is a piece of yellow plastic.Absolutely nothing sticks to it except for tape. I can put tape on it, level the printer and print to the tape with no problem. However without the tape nothing sticks. Id love to get my money back on this crap
