The item was the correct size and fit, but the packaging for shipment could not prevent damage to the tin backing plate that was inflicted by the rough shipping companies. The item did require some massaging to straighten it out to be able to use it.

Part worked great, best to get name brand replacement parts, you don't want to do this twice. Paint or treat the bare metal 1st or it will rust quickly.

1 Star for poor packaging/handling. Both showed up with the backing plate bent, box's showed signs of being dropped at some point during handling/shipping. The ACDelco 15949892 GM Original Equipment Rear Parking Brake Anchor Backing Plate Kit with Plate and Shield were individually boxed, floating loosely with no additional packing material. Boxes were mishandled, bending the backing plates. Don't have time to wait for an exchange so will have to try bending them back. Otherwise these are real ACDelco 15949892 backing plate kits for the GM 2500HD

Rebuilt my emergency brakes and dust shield and this was perfect. It's alot of work to replace this, but it fit well and will do exactly what it's designed to do
