Exceptionally smooth tuning — Our Golden Age Classical Guitar Tuners are high quality tuning machines for nylon-string classical guitars. The elegant Landstorfer "fish scale" pattern recalls styles used by master luthiers Velazquez and Hauser.

Each set includes a pair of 3-left/3-right tuning machines with mounting screws.
Installation Tips
Peghole spacing: Plate-mounted tuners can't work efficiently if the pegholes are improperly aligned. Our Tuning Machine Drill Jig for Slotted Pegheads (sold separately) ensures the correct 1-3/8" string roller spacing for accurate tuning.
Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend a 5/64" drill bit for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

These are well built tuners. Almost no slack, they feature fully anchored tuner shafts, knobs are removable, and do not have cast marks! Totally smooth and polished! These are kinda brass with some "dirty clear" finish. (Faux relic cleacoat)As you can tell by my pictures, I polished my tuners. I used 2500grit sandpaper/mesh to remove some "dirty clear" to reveal polished brass and leave dark recesses accented. (Relic-ing)BUT KNOW THAT THESE TUNERS ARE NOT SOLID BRASS!!!!!!!!If you choose to be a wannabe relic artist like me, please be aware that these tuners are merely brass coated Tin? Aluminum? Zinc? Idk... You can see in my pictures; a silverish substrate is revealed from my over-aggressive polishing.You can polish conservatively with 2500grit, but do not use coarse grits or files if you do choose to abrasively accentuate these tuners...

I ordered these because one of my tuning knobs broke. I should have changed to these long ago. They're beautiful, feel better, and match my guitar better than the original tuners. They were easy to install. I had to drill 2 holes on each side but the original holes were covered up.

This may be my first Amazon review of anything ever. I've played classical guitar for about 16 years now. A year ago I got myself this wonderful guitar, made by a luthier in El Salvador that I met. Cocobolo back and sides, cedar top. Just beautiful guitar and wonderful tone. I've been in love with it since I got, everyday more and more, a true companion. The only thing I was warned about not being top quality was the tuners. I knew I would change them eventually and started perusing Amazon for the right ones. These ones caught my eye because of how subtly beautiful they were, but I was a bit anxious because they pretty expensive compared to many of the other ones available, and because there were no reviews for it. I felt a little better when I looked up the store they were coming from, StewMack Guitar Solutions. Those guys seemed to know what they were doing. The tuners were delivered yesterday and I installed them right away. Played all day and been playing some more today. Superior quality is felt at every turn. Have never had nicer tuners. Really enjoying the precision, security and elegance that these bring. So happy with the product... They really complete the guitar! I feel like they've really leveled it up. It's all in the details, man.
