Battery is good. No problem. I paid $32.00 more for the OEM, which I think it is worth it with four years warranty.

Shipping was fast. Fits my greenworks 80v electric shovel. Battery life was similar to the one that came with the tool. Charges in about 30 mins with the greenworks rapid charger.

I decided a couple of years ago that I was tired with messing around with gas-powered chain saws - mixing the gas, adjusting the carburetor for high altitude and then dealing with the smoke and the noise and the fact that they can be quite finicky. I graduated to battery-powered chainsaws and have no intention of going back. Sure, the battery only lasts about 15 minutes but I have a couple of spares. If you are cutting wood for a living this won't be your answer. But, if you just cut wood for some heating and clearing out dead-fall this is the way to go.

I learned a great lesson regarding going on the cheap when I bought my first replacement battery for my Greenworks Leaf blower. The $30 I was so happy to save buying a knockoff battery ended up costing me money and frustration after the knockoff stopped charging. The Greenworks battery actually helps my leaf blower work longer and more efficiently. By all means feel free to buy a generic replacement but be forewarned; Only a Greenworks battery will last.

I already have a 2.0ah Greenworks battery I got with my string trimmer for Christmas in 2020 plus a 2.5ah I got with my blower in July 2021. The 2.5ah one is a little weaker than when new - maybe runs 15 minutes instead of close to 20 on full power with the blower, which really draws the amps. The Christmas 2020 battery has not lost any power that I can tell, and ran as long as the 2.5ah did when the 2.5ah was new. I got this 2nd 2.0ah battery to rotate with the other 2 batteries to put less stress on them and to have a charged battery ready in case the other two had not been recharged yet. Greenworks tools and batteries I have are all high quality & durable. I just wish their batteries were not SOOO expensive.

I bought an 80 volt, Greenworks battery on December 21, 2020 for a friend, as an extra to go with an 18", 80 volt chainsaw set (saw, charger and battery) that I got him at the same time, so that he would have two batteries-one to work with while the other is charging. This extra battery was manufactured on 03/21/2018. He finally went to use it recently (he hadn't needed it until then) and it would not take a charge at all! It is totally dead. Never used. I contacted Greenworks and the batteries are warrantied for two years, so they will not refund it, as it was just two months shy of those two years when you sold it to me! I think YOU owe me a replacement, as you sold me old goods. The chainsaw and other battery are newer and work fine. My purchase receipts are on record with Amazon, as are all the pertinent information relating to this issue. Can and will you honor me with this request for a replacement of this purchased, old, damaged battery? I hope so. Please advise me on your intent. Thank You....

UPDATE 7/25/2020 - Greenworks sent me a replacement battery. It took some persistence to get a response, but I appreciate them doing the right thing. Good products, good company. Thank you.I have been a fan of Greenworks for years and have purchased many of their products including string trimmers, edger, chainsaw, blower, hedge trimmer, and a snowthrower. I purchased the Greenworks PRO 80 V battery along with charger and string trimmer last year. I used it a couple times last year and it worked great. However, when I tried to use it this Spring, the battery would not charge (the charger blinks green for a couple seconds and it seems to begin charging, but then switches to red and will not charge). I contacted Greenworks back in May, explained the situation, and asked that they replace the batters. I received a reply a couple days later saying they had received my message and my request would be reviewed by their support staff. They noted in the reply that it may take "longer than usual" due to COVID. Well that was in May. Now it's halfway through July and I've heard NOTHING, even after sending them additional follow up emails. This is extremely disappointing, especially after how loyal I've been to them. I will not be buying any more Greenworks products.

Thirty percent charged when it arrived, and it didn't take long to complete the charge with the charger we got directly from Amazon. So far, so good, and it seems to be working properly: Holds it charge and the battery has powered up our new blower without a problem. Battery charge lasts as long as we expected it to.We were wondering if upgrading from 40V to 80V for some of our tools would be worth the price of the larger batteries. We believe so, and the increase in power--and the results--are very obvious. Confirmation will come when a majority of our trees' leaves are on the ground. When we first moved into our new house a few months ago, I think we underestimated the leaf battle we would be waging.. Having a Greenworks 80V blower will make our job much easier.

We have 3 of these GreenWorks 80V 2.0AH batteries - along with 3 chargers. We use them on several different GreenWorks 80V tools. They are powerful, hold lots of charge and are quick to recharge. Most of my own experience with the batteries is using them to power the Greenworks 18" 80V chainsaw. That really gives the batteries a workout, especially when cutting through 12" diameter or larger hardwoods. I don't get the claimed 150 cuts per battery charge like the company claims, but I do get around 30 or 40-minutes use before switching to another battery. These batteries aren't exactly inexpensive, but compared to similar products from Stihl and Husqvarna, they are a real bargain.I've only been using the GreenWorks batteries for a few months but they are warrantied for 2-years and the company will replace them if they fail within that time. As far as I'm concerned, if they last at least 2 years (the company claims a 2000 charge cycle lifespan), I'll be satisfied. It's worth it just to get away from all the noise, pollution, fuel mixing, carburetor and plug maintenance that's associated with gas powered yard tools.
