  • The Clear-Night Filter for Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E from Haida is designed to reduce the appearance of light pollution in images or video that include the night sky, and to minimize illumination from artificial light sources. This effect can be obtained when the filter is used on a digital camera system with the daylight white balance setting selected.
  • Light pollution occurs in areas of the night sky that are above or near concentrated and intense sources of artificial light, such as cities. These sources can include streetlamps, exterior and interior lamps for commercial or residential buildings, sports and entertainment venue lighting, and brightly lit advertisements such as billboards.
  • The Clear-Night Filter is a rear-mounted filter that can improve the results of nighttime images by absorbing the yellow light from sodium-vapor lamps, a common light source within urban areas. By preventing the dominant wavelengths of light associated with the color of those lamps from being recorded, the filter enhances visibility of astronomical objects.
  • To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes 10 layers of anti-reflection coatings, which also offer greater protection to the filter substrate and help keep it clean for a longer period of time. The Nano coating associated with these neutral density filters provides an additional layer that results in an improved beading effect if their surfaces come in contact with water or oil, allowing for more efficient cleaning.

Would love to use this filter but it does not include the lens adapter ring and you cannot buy it separately so it’s pretty pointless. You’ll have to purchase the 150$ kit to get the adapter ring and several filters but not this one. The video of how to install the filter shows the adapter ring being part of the kit so it is very misleading and implies that it comes with the adapter ring

Was not cut to fit properly, top left corner was under pressure from touching the housing ever so slightly. It cracked down the middle as a result.

Try it on my sigma 14mm, fit perfectly and crack wile I was removing from it , wasted my money
