I have a request into the manufacturer and waiting to hear back from them. Is this normal for the third and final panel? I have to pull down hard to clamp it to the proper position in my truck bed, and I worry that it has so much tension on relatively thin metal on the truck that will be a problem. Also it leaves a gap not only in the very back but in another area further forward since it is pressing very hard against the second panel. Would appreciate hearing others experience with this product since I have not had this issue with other tonneau covers on the same model truck.UPDATE: The first tonneau cover was defective in that the third panel did not lie flat as it should. CalFree was very cooperative and shipped out a second unit as soon as I contacted them and that unit was fine. Like all tonneau covers that are not able to cover over the sides of the bed (unfortunately the Maverick is one of them) there may be a tiny gap or two that need sealing, which the supplied weatherstripping can take care of easily. The unit is very strong at approximately 50 pounds or so and will protect our stuff from thieves and the elements nicely. I would recommend.

We use this on our 2024 Ford Maverick. It’s easy to attached, secure, and even somewhat waterproof. We ran it through a carwash and - with the weatherstripping at the front - the truckbed had very few drops of water under the cover.

Don't know what others were talking about, the instructions were very clear that I received. Installation was very straight forward done quickly on my 2025 Ford Maverick. The hardest part of the installation was separating the packaging for recycling.

Came well packed. Workmanship pretty good but some excess caulk left smeared in places. Not too hard to install, even though the directions leave a lot to be desired. I don't see it being waterproof as you can't tighten the latches enough to pull the ends down tight. The pull downs need to be nearer the ends of the panels on the front and rear panel. For me not a major deal as I won't be leaving stuff in the cargo box that would be a problem if they got wet. Maybe if the gaskets take a little compression set I can get the ends tighter.

It took me about 20 minutes to install the tonneau cover. Very basic and only needs one person to install. I have a 2024 ford maverick and it fit perfectly. No cracks or holes that I can see.
