Like some of the other reviews mention. It jams up constantly. The waste nail catcher at the back is plastic and broke immediately, I just took it off because it was causing the nails to jam when dispensing out the back. Also, the orange paint chips off everywhere. All that after I set just 10 rivets... It's frustrating, but it does the job and sets a pretty nice rivet. Although if you're setting the 3/16" rivets you have to be incredibly strong, and it can be difficult to set rivets in tight locations. I guess if I plan on doing more riveting I will spend some more money and get something higher quality.

this is a nice heavy duty rivet gun but using the rivets provided it ate - clamped down in the rivet nail failing to release it . truth be told this is no different from any other rivet gun as they install to heavy of a spring. so first rivet i had to disassemble the rivet gun which is pretty easy . i went through my box of spring similar length and diameter but not as stiff and replaced it . so far so good and for $10 . and a spring a good deal .

You would have to purchase more if needing plastic rivets as in having to replace plastic items or repair. Gave four stars due to lack of having more plastic rivets as it said good for plastic repairs too.

This rivet gun works as described in the description. The quality of the materials makes the gun durable a good value for its size. The included rivets look good.

It feels solid and well made. Paint finish, mechanism and plastic parts seem to be reasonable. As other reviewers have said, it's difficult to read the head sizes. They are coated black and stored in the handle. The other minor complaint that I have is that the head that was attached was impossible to shift by hand. Gripping this with a tool like a pair of pliers is only going to damage the parts. I'd also say that the threaded holders for the alternative heads do not feel the best quality as it stands. I suspect use and/or a little grease in them will sort this out.

Rivets guns are as old as the hills. I worked as a structural ironworker for 26 years and that is what put me through 11 years of college, grad school and a post doc. I could use a rivet gun in my sleep. I have used many different brands over the years, but never one made in China.What are we looking for in a simple tool as a rivet gun? I'd say we need to find functionality, durability, quality of materials and cost for all of those items in a finished product.This gun works simply and easily as all such guns do.I can't give you a durability report in such a short time frame, but the quality of materials augers for a long lifetime.The materials are of heavy duty steel that should last a lifetime.I don't think you will find an overall better buy in a rivet gun than this one.One nice little design feature that I have never seen on any gun before is that it collects the spent rivet rods in a handy container at the heel of the gun. If you are in a situation that won't allow you to just ignore the spent rivets, this is a blessing. No broom work with this great little gun.If I need to revise this review, I will certainly do so

This is just perfect every time I have used it. It does the job well as expected. The item itself is well made, and feels high quality. The lever works very well. Really happy with this and would highly recommend.

Whats to be said? It works as described. Pop a rivet in a hole and pull lever. Works well every time. Fits in my toolbox and is reliable for when I need it. I like the swappable heads, the firm grip, and the quick storage by the handle. Does the job well and I'd recommend!
