5 foot 7 at 180lbs. and a XXL fits perfect. Like most everyone else interested in Helikon-Tex clothing, the whole sizing thing is a challenge and often conflicting from one website to another. I did my homework and made the purchase, great fit, lots of arm freedom. Well crafted, zero complaints.

I’m 6’01” and 230 and the American XL fits perfect. I love the jacket and believe it will work perfect for what I need. This anorak has the perfect venting system and if you order the correct size, it allows for layers. I don’t mind the back fabric due to me wearing a pack most of the time during outings. As far as rain…I keep a poncho in my kit.

Edit après 6 mois d'utilisation :-Je recommande de changer les 'zipper pulls' d'origine pour des plus massifs car on ne sent pas ceux d'origine quand on porte des gants : très embêtant par temps froid-Même traité déperlant, après +/- 1h sous la pluie, l'anorak prend l'eau-Les zip sous les bras sont super pratiques pendant un effort intense pour évacuer l'humidité mais ils ont tendance à s'ouvrir en entier si on se penche / s'accroupi régulièrement, dommage, c'est vraiment ennuyeux.Pour le reste, il est vraiment top, je le trouve tjrs aussi bien !---------Avis d'origine ;Habitué à passer du temps en forêt pour du "bushcraft", camping, ramasser des champignons, randonnée, etc ... j'ai longtemps utilisé des uniformes de diverses armées car pas cher et résistants pour ces utilisations.Cet anorak reprend les qualité des précédents en ajoutant les aspects moderne, ergonomique et plus discret.Attention ; c'est un coupe vent, ce n'est pas un vêtement de pluie ni un vêtement chaud !Il est vraiment très confortable, le tissus à l'avant est bien solide, renforcé aux coudes, l'arrière est lui plus elastique et plus fin ce qui permet une grande mobilité. (pas encore testé mais j'ai des doutes quant à la potentielle résistance au feu du tissus du dos si des petites braises retombent desus, autour d'un feu de camp par exemple)La taille est très bien (j'ai pris du L pour 183cm et 92Kg) car on peut y passer bien largement une polaire épaisse en dessous et le col n'est pas serré ce qui permet de passer un cheiche/keffieh/écharpe/...C'est exactement ce que je cherchais car souvent ça taille trop proche du corps donc impossible de mettre une sous couche conséquente et si on prend plus grand, on a des manches trop longues donc, taille vraiment idéale pour moi.Facile à enlever/remettre grace aux longues tirettes sur les cotés, cela permet aussi de ventiler pendant l'effort pour éviter "l'effet de serre"Pas encore testé sous la pluie mais vu les different retex qu'on peut trouver, j'ai directement commandé un traitement déperlant / respirant de marque Nikwax car effectivement, ce n'est pas un K-way mais juste un coupe vent donc il prendra l'eau après quelques minutes sous une averse.Le tissus étant fin, il devrait sécher assez rapidement au cas ou l'eau percerait.Bref, un anorak idéal a utiliser en couche extérieure pour la mi saison, je recommande grandement. !

I really wanted to like this, but it's far wider through the chest than I was expecting. I thought it'd look trim, but instead it looks boxy. The fabric is lighter weight than I expected, a plus for my intended use case of summer backpacking, but it seems like I'd need to put a lot of wax on the shoulders and hood to get it to be significantly waterproof.The width does keep it reasonably easy to put on, and the double zippers make for hugely configurable pit zips, which is nice.It's a minor nitpick, but the kangaroo pockets are just a bit too high. I think they'd be just right for going over the top of a backpack waist belt, but for day-to-day usage it's not quite where I'd most want it to be.

Let me start by saying the shipping takes forever! Now to the actual itemThe fit is spot on, the color is great, the fabric itself is the downfall. It is much thinner than expected. Curious about the wind and water resistance which is why I purchased it. Time will tell and I plan on beating it up! It seems to be well made, but time will tell!

Hallo zusammen,Wollte mal nicht wieder soviel Kohle für 'nen Fjällräven Anorak ausgeben und habe die HelikonTex-Woodsman hier endtdeckt..Ich wußte vorher, das diese Jacke fast das gleiche Baumwoll-Polyamid - Gewebe besitzt wie Fjällräven's G1000 und wollte sie deshalb unbedingt testen und auch ,, wasserdicht/waterproof einwachsen, mit( Greenland Wax )...Gekauft, schnell geliefert, gewachst und anschließend ,,gefönt'' , damit das Wax gut ins Gewebe einschmelzen kann.......Heute bei 2* + mit dem E-Bike 40 km/h durch den Wald geheizt...Leider kein Regen weit und breit, aber ich konnte schonmal feststellen, das der kalte Wind gut draußen blieb und ich, obwohl geschwitzt, gut trocken blieb;)Hatte natürlich die seitlichen Reissverschlüsse 'ne Handlänge offen.... Mega schöne, gut verarbeitete und robuste Wohlfühljacke ;)) !!Wichtig ; Bei 184cm Körpergröße und ca. 74kg reicht Größe M völlig !

I struggled figuring what size would work, so as for fit, am 6-ft 5-inch 245 pounds, and 17-1/2 neck x 37" sleeve dress shirt size. And the 3X fits perfectly with room for a mid layer.The garment is lightweight as advertised, and is well made with many useful features and quality components.Looking forward to using during hiking and camping adventures, and providing a longer term evaluation.Had to order from Italy due to US store a non-stock item, and took 10 days to arrive via $26.00 UPS expedited service.The seller provided a quick response to my inquiry, and I recommend them.

This is a very well made garment. This is a bush rafters outer layer. I have a wool shirt and a puffer jacket then this goes over all that. It’s even better as a wind breaker. The side zipper go all the way the arm pits so you get this great poncho like affect. This jacket is worth every penny.

I couldn't be happier with this anorak. It is exactly what I would have designed myself.If you're going to layer any substantial clothing under this, remember to order one size larger than your normal size. That is my one tiny nit-pick. Anoraks like this should be oversized for layering (almost none of them are). Even going up a size, I think the arms would be a little snug with anything more than a medium weight fleece. And to go anything larger, I'd have to adjust the arm length. This anorak has so many A+ features, I'm not going to worry about any slight limits there are to what I can wear under it. Great product!

giacca veramente comoda e ben fatta (dalle cuciture al materiale utilizzato), prima di scegliere la taglia perdeteci un po' di tempo ad esempio io che sono altro 1,70cm e peso 70kg ho preso una S ed e' perfetta. Consiglio decisamente l'acquisto.PS e' veramente resistente al fuoco
