I wish there would be a better alternative to this foam cutter but so far this is the best option I have found. You can't make precision cuts with this thing. I always end up with crooked cuts no matter what I do. If you tighten the wire for straight cuts it snaps really often. If you let the wire a bit loose you don't get straight cuts anymore. I even bought a 60$ adapter so I have more stability and make better cuts and I still have issues. The table is very light and moves around a lot. Oh and did I tell you the wire snaps a lot? Well it does and it is a pain to reload it. There is a really really small hole you need to feed the wire thru and lots of times it gets clogged with melted foam. This is the most time consuming and annoying part of using this machine. Reloading the wire. I'm thinking of using a thicker wire, I have some guitar chords that might work , but then maybe the wire won't get hot enough if it's thicker. I hate it but I need it.

This wire is heavier and cuts better than the stuff that came with the foam cutter.
