This thing is a beast, but only press the button no longer than one minute and let the machine rest or you will blow a resistor. Happen to me once already after six years of using it.

This is a great tool! It has already paid for itself in the first week at the shop. It won't get you out of every jam. But it will most of the time. Much safer and easier to use that the torch. Pro or DIY, this is a tool that every helps everyone. Wish I had one years ago.

Was gonna try a cheaper brand but didn't want to be disappointed in it and return it. This wasn't the case with this one so far. Incredible some of the nuts I've busted, lol, with this thing. Egr nut on exhaust manifold on an 03 f150 heated up in under a minute then came right off with a box end wrench.

I love this thing. I live in California (the land of cars with no rust) but I grew up in Maine working in cars, so I am no stranger to the “hot wrench” school of loosening bolts. Acetylene torch, MAP gas, etc. I have been working on my 2001 Audi S8 which, despite living in CA now, spent time on the east coast, so the rear suspension parts are…. Not coming off. For some of it, I was able to torch the bolts, but I rounded the Allen head of the stupid bolt holding in the ABS sensor. M6 bolt and no way to use the torch without melting the ABS sensor. So I ordered this inductive bolt buster. Literally 20 seconds later the bolt was out. It was pure magic. I honestly thought I was dreaming. It worked REALLY well and gave me more control. And I didn’t feel like I had to have a fire extinguisher in my lap while I melted thing. Strong recommend. Worked like a charm.

This is a high quality induction heat tool that comes with a good variety of coils in the box. Unfortunately the coils are in a plastic bag instead of a case like pictured. However the price here was lower than I could find anywhere else somits still a great value for a brand name tool. Design seems like it should hold up well for use by automotive techs. Simply hold the bottom until the hardware is visually starting change color and it should be hot enough to break loose easier and control temp without overheating surrounding components.

Had to change the cab mounts on my 2012 F350 here in Pa. This tool was without a doubt a life saver getting the rusted cab bolts out. Concentrated heat where you need it. They backed right out.In my opinion it paid for itself with just those 6 bolts.Now I'll have it for my other restoration project.

It worked well on exhaust flange bolts. But, not as well as the oxi actelene torch. I think the trick is to heat but not to much so as not to heat up the mating thread to much. I do think it is easier to use than the torch, the torch you may it wires or other items you shouldn’t het with the flame
