Ordered this carburetor for my Husqvarna 128LD and installed it and it did not work. It needed lots of adjustment to even get it idling. It will not work on high speed even after many hours of adjustment as soon as you pull the throttle it dies every time. I don't recommend this carb for the 128LD as I do not think that it is compatible.The customer team did give me a full refund after finding out that it did not work for me, that was respectful.

Worked perfect right out of the box. Now my Husqvarna 128LD runs perfect. Great build quality. I would recommend this carburetor.

First, the spark plug is crap. Second, the carb didn't come adjusted. All screws were tight. Lastly, the carb must be defective or the wrong one even though the part number matches the OEM because my trimmer doesn't want to stay running with the trigger squeezed. I've tried to adjust the carb for 3 hrs and I can't get this to work. I even looked up the starting positions for the adjustment screws and watched every video on the internet. And of course the part is not available from husqvarna anymore. This trimmer is 2 yrs old...

A while ago, I got a Husqvarna 128CD as part of a group of trimmers I traded for a push mower I had. My 128CD was in decent shape, but the carburetor was messed up and it was missing half of the trimmer head. I ordered this part to get the carburetor part rectified and when I got it, I was eager to install it and see if my trimmer ran. Well, needless to say, it worked really well - for the most part!Yeah, it fired off no problem with this carburetor and worked pretty well. I have a little bit of an issue with it leaning out when revving the engine up quickly and bogging, but works well if the throttle is applied slowly and smoothly. I chalk it up to the high jet needing to be tweaked a bit richer. Unfortunately, the carburetor does not come with the adjustment tool to do this. lol...Gives me one more reason to buy another tool!Installation was easy and straightforward. It came with two sizes of fuel line, but the smaller of the two is not big enough to fit in the hole in the fuel tank right. The other fits just right! So, if you are installing it on the 128CD, just use the bigger line and you will be okay. There is enough there to do both lines with more to spare. It works just like the original at a third of the cost!I imagine it also fits the 128LD also, but the 128CD is absolutely a beast with this on it now. I was going to sell the trimmer when I got it running and cutting, but I am not so sure now. I find I like using it and enjoy the power from it. Once I get the high jet dialed in, well, I may end up keeping this thing after all!

The kit was complete as advertised, arrived on schedule and was identical to the original carb. The new fuel lines were the right size unlike some cheap ones at the big box stores. In my opinion, a gasket which faces the gray plastic housing that holds the air filter needs to be added to the kit. Other competitor offerings have this additional gasket. There was air in-leakage at the bottom carb attach bolt affecting the mixture. I was able to reuse the original engine block side gasket and cut the smaller missing one out of the gasket furnished with the kit. The engine also did not run well with the furnished plug. It was apparently too cold. The original plug was retained, and the trimmer now runs like new after tuning. Anyone buying this style carburetor needs to also purchase the 5/16 " Dia tuning tool to set the high speed and idle mixtures and be careful to put the fuel suction line on the carb connection furthest from the red bulb.
