This works very well. I have it set up in my side yard, giving me a camera view of my driveway and the front yard. Seems very sturdy. The way the camera and solar panel attach works well. So far the setup has survived several rains and a curious deer.

I love this for my camera to monitor kids, dogs, and wildlife in the yard.

Need to be careful on harder ground. Best to dig out a hole first and then fill it in. The spikes are not very durable putting them in hard ground otherwise. Mine broke. Hopefully won't be an issue but we'll see next storm and high winds we have. Otherwise may have to lower this review.

If you havew a Gen 1 Ring Spotlight Cam Battery version, the plate that comes with the unit will NOT allow the solar connector to be pushed into the camera. Worthless.

The stake leaves something to be desired, but it held up in the mountains of the Northeast over the winter just fine.

The product is good, but the installation instructions are absolutely TERRIBLE and non existant.

The threads on the stake can be clobbered when hammering in to the ground, there should be a stub of the shaft sticking above the threads. It did survive one staking into soft ground, and removing was easy with the multi-level arm design, but staking into slightly firmer ground was a quick fail.In retrospect I could have moved one of the nuts up to be level with the end and protect the threads, or they could have included a threaded end cap for the stake just for hammering into the ground. Sadly now mine is unable to thread onto the pole and completely useless.EDIT: Asked Grok how to fix the threads, it said use an angle grinder to grind off the first 1/4”. That seemed a little overpowered so I got out my dremel and ground them down. IT WORKED! Not even a touch of binding getting the threaded stake off, and the nut went right back on and into the pole. Happy again. Will pre-drill whatever holes I need in the ground next time. Photos attached of repaired threading and tools.
