Pile of garbage. Worked once then died. No return option. I own a RV repair center and we now know to never ever use this brand ever again after it failing almost immediately. Do not waste your money, spend the extra money and buy a nice one with a PROPER environmental seal.

We have an RV with 2 roof A/C Units and we had already installed an A/C Soft Start on one and needed to do the same on the 2nd A/C so I ordered this iFJF 364 Soft Start Kit for my 2nd A/C unit. This unit is not hard to install if you just follow the directions and if I can do it I think almost anyone could! well worth purchasing. Keep in mind that You do have to get on the roof and remove the A/C Cover so if you aren't comfortable with that make sure to have an RV Tech install it for you.

We wanted a soft start unit for the A/C unit in our travel trailer. When I finally got around to installing this, the instructions were not difficult. If you have some basic wiring skills and pay attention to detail, then this is relatively easy to put in.After installation, we notice that our unit does not seem to surge as it has in the past, and we no longer have worries of tripping generator breakers.

I installed solar on our RV with 10kWh of lithium batteries and a Victron Multiplus 2 inverter. The system works great but was not able to run the AC units because of the spike in the startup current. I ordered this to allow the startup current ramp up at a lower rate. The pics show the startup wattage when I started the AC after installation. The first pic is no AC; 2nd: immediately after startup; 3rd: few seconds later; 4th: with AC running. This is all from running strictly on the lithium batteries, no shore power. So it really solved my problem.Installation is not too difficult - as long as you have electrical wiring experience. It comes with all the necessary wires/connectors. The wires are quite long and I ended up cutting about 18" of the excess off. I also used the included double sided tape to mount the unit. It seems like it will hold very good and is much easier than drilling holes and screwing it to the AC unit since it is a very tight area.It is a good price and works great. I did knock 1 star because it is not UL listed.

Wow, what a great device this is for the air conditioner in our RV! Instead of an abrupt start that can cause the circuit breaker to trip, now our A/C unit "ramps up" to start. The unit was relatively straightforward to install if you have some electrical experience like I do. Only time will tell, but so far this device has worked well for its intended purpose and our application, so it receives the top five star ranking from me!

The data provided for this unit is lacking. What size AC units does it fit in BTU's, or more importantly in amps? What is the warranty?I did some digging and came up with the following:Per the manufacturer the unit is rated for AC units between 13k–15k BTU (So this would not work with a 9k BTU unit)The warranty is 9 months. No further details provided. Do I have to send it to China for warranty? Warranty information needs to be clearly stated in writing. Ideally available before you purchase an item. The item is not UL listed. There are no other certifications listed on the unit such as CE, etc. While the unit looks well made and may work great I will not install it since it is not UL or CE listed. In my opinion the seller/manufacturer needs to provide detailed documentation and at least have the unit listed with UL ,CE, or CSA. I would prefer UL listing for the US market. For me the risk of installing a non-certified item such as this is not worth it. I can find certified units for the same or similar price. The unit looks well made but the lack of information and certification is concerning. Three stars is all I can give it, and that may be generous.
