Unique, self-adjusting, tube holding mechanism permits flaring any size tubing within the range of 3/16" to 5/8" (4.75 mm to 16 mm) O.D. Innovative, single-opening design is more compact and easier to use than conventional multi-opening flaring bars. Faceted, hardened steel, chrome finished cone rolls out and burnishes perfect 45° flare above the tube-holding mechanism reducing need for deburring. Original wall thickness is maintained at base of flare. Slip-on self-centering yoke permits use in tight quarters. Large handle, with better leverage, and precision threads on feed screw make flaring effortless. High quality construction with satin chrome and black finish. Wt. 1.75 lbs.

Works Great!Makes really nice flares.Needed a Metric flaring tool for a mini split heat pump.Found this one that is a fit all design and made by a company that has been making quality hvac tools for many years in the USA.This one happens to be made in Taiwan and is very good quality. Have noticed Taiwan toolsAre better quality than China. Ordered a combo flaring tool kit that was made in China that looked good but the flares it made were not straight.This Imperial makes really nice flares.Takes a little getting used to so just do a few practice flares and you will like what you can do with it.

It looked like a tool that someone else had returned. The box was all to pieces and half of the tool was missing.

the only flaring tool i've used for the past 20 years. has quite a few benefits over all the others out there. can be used to squeeze tubing back to round shape. flaring hole in block is always in the same place. smaller than any other tool i've seen although a little thicker. need to oil cone every so often so it doesn't feel "grindy" when flaring copper tubing.
