Love, love, love! Cleaning capabilities are quite good once it learns the mapping. Have not had any issues with the battery, it has plenty of life left when it’s finished cleaning. Connects easily to any WiFi and functions as it’s designed. Love that it picks up the fine hairs us ladies like to leave on the floor and it easily maneuvers over my area rugs. I do find this product a tad bit expensive so the value for money isn’t necessarily there for me, but sometimes you have to spend a little more to get what you want. Thinking of buying a second one for the second floor.

I was excited to try out the iRobot Roomba Plus 405 Robot vacuum & mop because when I think of robot vacuums, iRobot comes to mind because they are the ones who popularized these devices in the early 2000's.Since then a lot as changed & improved in the robot vacuumed world and there's a lot more options & I have to say that I was disappointed with the Roomba Plus 405, I was expecting a lot more from this iconic brand especially when I compare it to other brands I've had the opportunity to test.First in the positive column, when it comes to vacuuming I find the 405 did a really good job for both small & larger dirt/debris and did just as well on carpet & on hard surfaces. The dock works well, I had no issues with the auto empty or the filling/emptying of water nor did I have issue with the mop cleaning. I found it odd that no sample of liquid cleaning solution was included so you have to acquire it separately. And extra dust bag is included. There's no hot water or hot air washing & drying with the dock which is now a very common feature on other similar products. The mapping of my floors was pretty good and pretty fast. The navigation was also good and it does as good coverage job. If you have a lot of carpet in your home you will quickly notice that the Roomba is a lot less powerful than a lot of other robots and this shows when deep cleaning a carpet, it just doesn't have the suction power. The feature I was most excited to try, since it's new for Roomba's, was the dual mop pads and it turn out to be not great. First for having used other robot vacuums with mopping capabilities I was surprised to see that you can't adjust the water level/saturation of the mop pads , there's just one level. In mop mode the Roomba seems to do a very good job the floors look clean but when you take a closer look you realize that it leaves the floors very wet which by itself isn't great because it will take time to dry but if you wipe down your wet floors you will see that they are dirty so yes it washes your floors but the excessive water still leaves them dirty. This is were the lack of customization in the APP for the mopping becomes a problem. If you've tried other robot vacuums that have obstacle avoidance sensors like I have, you will quickly notice how the 405 struggles at will bump into things, try to go over toys, shoes, pets etc instead of contouring them so I suggest you clear your rooms the best you can and avoid leaving things on the ground to facilitate the Roomba's job. Now the APP is another source of disappointment but at least there's hope for updates to make it better because right now it's buggy and lacks a lot of features that other competitors have. The lack of product manuals isn't unique to iRobot and usually you find all the information you need on the APP but again, the APP isn't as of the time of testing fine tuned and needs to be better.

This is my 3rd Roomba and is far the best one so far. I actually feel like it's mopping my floors rather than just wiping them. Yes, the bin empty is still really loud, buts it done emptying in about 30 seconds. My only complaint is you can't turn off the object avoidance feature, so it won't go under beds with a bedskirt. Other than that, would highly recommend.

Great time saver and does a superb job of vacuuming and wet mopping my LVP floors. Use it daily as my dog sheds hair like crazy. Set up is super easy; plug in, put clean water in the clean tank and once it’s charged, it’s ready to clean! To set automations you need to download the app but it’s free and easy to use. There is no printed user guide or manual - it also needs to be downloaded or viewed on line. It’s one of my peeves. I’m 66 and learn better by reading & reviewing written instructions. However, the new app is easy to use even without reading instructions.This was an upgrade from my older iRobot that I bought 6 yrs ago and which now cleans my garage. The new model is so much quieter and the lydar mapping is more accurate. I love that it also dries the mop pads once done and compensates for rugs automatically by raising the wet floor pads and only vacuuming the rugs.My biggest complaint is that iRobot put this same make and model on sale for $200.00 less than what I bought it for on Amazon within days of my purchase. Still, no regrets!

This Roomba was a great addition to my home. As someone with two cats and a dog, my house quickly accumulates a lot of hair, loose litter, and random debris. This cleans up a large part of the problem with very little effort.Getting started with this was decently easy. This is the first robot vacuum I've owned, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It comes out of the box with only the mop pads and little debris catcher needing attached (both a quick pop into place). There are a few pieces of plastic to take off. but once the dock is plugged in and you've got the app downloaded it will walk through everything else. Before you can use it, you've got to create a map of the home for the vacuum to go off of and to designate specific areas to clean. The mapping piece is the main reason I didn't give this 5 stars, as for such a popular brand I really expected more capabilities from the app. I ended up running the mapping several times, as it made mistakes/missed something the first two. The app only lets you split/combine the rooms it designates, but doesn't let you slice of parts of it to delete or to map an addition to the space without redoing the map entirely. This is a really basic thing I think it should be able to do, since adding a bathroom goes from a 2 minute task to a 30 minute one when the entire map needs redone. Otherwise, the room functionality is decent. It tends to detect fairly accurately how rooms should be distinguished, and these can be renamed, split, and merged with others. You can only do this with a straight line though. You can also add a rectangle onto the house map as another specified area to clean (which I also wish had a more flexible shape).For the actual cleaning performance, I'm pretty impressed. This thing is VERY quiet when running, other than when it goes back to its dock and empties (which is quite loud but also brief). It picks up the majority of debris. There can be a little bit of hair left on the carpets, but it is more of a deep cleaning task that I can put off a lot longer with running this regularly. For the mop function, it does a good job of doing a normal light mopping (I haven't had anything super heavy for it to deal with). The main bummer about the mopping that I didn't realize until I was setting it up is that it only uses the cleaning solution sold by the company, with it saying that even using some vinegar will void the warranty. As such, I've only been using it with water (sad). The mopping doesn't use too much water and the floor dries quickly. I haven't had any issues with leaking or water where it shouldn't be. The manual says the pad drying may make some noise, but I haven't noticed anything with it happening in the background.Overall, I love this vacuum. The main issues I have with it are relating to app functionality. The vacuum navigates a space impressively well, climbing over dips of rugs with ease and helping me keep my home much cleaner.

The roomba has been a game changer. Setting the automatic routines has given me time back and one less thing to worry about everyday. The kids had a lot of fun naming it too.

We’ve had robot vacuums for years and when our roborock quit a few months back, we started looking around for a replacement.Have wanted to try Roomba and support a US company and this new one looked interesting with the mop and vacuum options. We’ve never had a mopping one but figured we could use it with the addition of 2 new dogs.It’s great so far and quieter than my old vac. I like how large the water bin is as it looks like it’ll last a long time without refilling.Cleans far better too, picking up all of the sand the dogs track in from walks. Very pleased!!
