About this item

  • 6-String Electric Guitar: The JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32 DKA-M features a poplar body with a beautiful quilt maple arched top, bolt-on maple neck with graphite reinforcement, and scarf joint for rock-solid stability and Snow White finish
  • Mechanism: Hosting 24 jumbo frets and sharkfin inlays, the 12-16 inch compound radius maple fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This makes for comfortable and natural-feeling chording and riffing near the nut, with optimal shred articulation and bending nearer the heel
  • One-Piece Bolt-On Maple Neck: A type of neck constructed with a scarf joint for an angled back headstock, which in turn increases the tension behind the nut eliminating the need for string trees and/or string retainer bars. The bolt-on neck joins the neck to the body of the guitar with screws or bolts, allowing for more control, attack, and sustain
  • Compound Radius Maple Fingerboard: This model features a maple fingerboard with an innovative 12-16 inch compound radius design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. Looks very sharp, pickups are surprisingly good, and I don't know if it's the paint and wood combo or what exactly but the body has great resonance sounds great before you even plug it in!.The negatives are the fret work wasn't super detailed. The fret edges are a bit sharp, have some fret buzzing to sort out on it and it has a similar cheap plasticy sound to my Ibanez Gio that I can hopefully get sorted. All in all I would definitely recommend it but you will have a bit of work ahead of you to get it to sound great! To be expected from a budget Shredder!

Awesome guitar. One or two minor imperfections in the finish, but they're very small. I put new strings on and raised the action slightly, had some buzzing on the low E. I had to also adjust the neck of the guitar, the low E string again was basically right on the edge of the fretboard. I just loosened the neck screws and strings and pushed down until the neck was aligned properly. No big deal. Never having used one the Floyd Rose took me a bit getting used to as far as the tuning procedure. Looking forward to getting better at playing this sucker, she sure is beautiful.

Was so happy and excited when it arrived, unfortunately, guitar was DoA. Plugged in the amp and no sound at all. Plugged my other guitar and worked fine. Tried multiple cords and still the same. Kinda sad because I really like the guitar looks. And based on reviews, it should sound awesome as well. Guess I just got out of luck.

This guitar sounds great and was a good purchase. However mine came with a broken string and not 100% assembly:

As I read in other reviews, this guitar came with some black dust. It was setup nicely. Feels, plays, and sounds great. Tremelo is a little light guage. Will replace at some point. Already routed for Floyd Rose. Wouldn't recommend any floating tremelo for a beginner.

To get the negatives out of the way, there's a few nearly microscopic cosmetic issues. Looks like paint splatter to me. Also, a couple of the routed cavities weren't 100% sanded smooth. However, I would have never found these if I hadn't inspected it very closely for my review. Also, the high e string it was shipped with broke on my first use of the tremolo. However, I restrung it with some NYXL 10s and now it plays great. As for the positives, a comprehensive list would be too long for a concise review. To keep it brief, I received this guitar one day prior to writing and haven't put it down except to eat, sleep, and care for pets. It is incredibly fun to play. I have been looking for a while for an affordable guitar with a Floyd, and this licensed one works great. It is capable of all the insane 80s dives that one might want, and stays in tune as long as the locking nut is used correctly. Great fret access despite the bolt-on construction, awesome look, overall worth every penny for me.

I am very rarely impressed by the complete quality of lower end PRICED guitars. While I feel like I am a good guitarist, I am a softy. I own a Gibson SG, Fender American strat (cool rails) mexi-tele, and two Gretsch guitars (one with P90s). I needed power.I GOT POWER.Neck feels amazing, and the cutouts allow easy access to the upper frets. All the electronics are solid with no wiggles, as well as the Floyd Rose type system. Setup was near perfect when the guitar arrived. One thing I found shocking was its' weight, being a little heavier than I expect. Not a drawback by any means. Sidebar to the Floyd Rose, if you do not intend to use this system, upgrade your tuners. If you do not use the nut locks, this guitar goes out of tune in a hurry. If you do use the full term system and locks, rock on.I would recommend this to anyone with a penchant for metal. The clean sound on this guitar is quite flubby, but that is not what it is made for. With extreme gain, you see the pickups begin to muddy from the saturation, but very very very minuscule levels. (Quite possibly my soft fingers, and not the guitar) I am going to change over to active pickups EMGs, but that is personal taste. This is not by any means, only a beginners guitar. This guitar would be great for the young/new metal head, to work up their chops, and show them off. Even better in the hands of an experienced metal head. Jackson has done a great job with the upper lever dinkys, and this is no different.

I Bought This A Guitar Because of Its looks , But When I Got This Guitar (1) It Looked So Cool, The Action was Pretty good Right Out Of the Box.So Anyway , I Took It Home From Work And Plugged It In, (2) It's A Player, Come On , It Was A $200 Guitar and looks And Plays very Good , The Pick Ups Are Decent , I'll Keep it For Many Years, The Craftsmanship Is So Nice........ Long And Short, I Bought The JS34 as Well .. Having fun, Thanks

Awesome guitar. I ordered it on a Friday and selected two business day shipping and it was supposed to arrive the following Tuesday. Instead, it came the very next day. Shipping was unbelievably fast, especially for being free (with amazon prime subscription). The guitar itself was in perfect condition upon delivery. It was packaged very well. The high e string snapped very quickly, but I expected nothing different from the low quality strings that come on the guitar. It sounds, feels, and looks amazing. I love the dinky body shape with the 80s style headstock. The maple fingerboard with the black shark fin inlays looks so slick, and the neck is thin and very fast. I was sort of worried about tuning issues with the tremolo, but the Floyd rose style trem with locking nut keep the guitar in then very well, even after some heavy EVH style dive bombing. Overall, I could not be happier with my purchase. Awesome guitar all around. Highly recommended
