When I installed this amplifier, I ran it with a 10” JL Audio W0 at 4 ohms. It sounded great for all of 5 minutes before the safety tripped. I was running 8 gauge wire so I switched to 4 gauge, same problem. I then hooked it up to a Pioneer Stage 10” subwoofer at 4 ohms. Again, ran good for 5 minutes before the safety tripped. On both of these set ups the gain was set a little less than 50% at the amp. Also, on both of these set ups the only way I could get the amplifier to work was to turn the subwoofer level all the way down on the receiver. That meant the amp was not pushing the subwoofer very hard, thus not a lot of bass. Both set ups are running Pioneer NEX receivers. I did some research and come to find out, there is no power rating at 4 ohms for this amp. Only at 2 ohms or 1 ohm. I may be asking this amp to do too much at a higher resistance. Do not buy if you plan to run at 4 ohms.

Install is straight forward, 12v positive constant, Chasis ground and remote on . Hooked up to a 10” subwoofer and it gets loud. Not break your windows loud , just perfect for a 2008 Honda Accord sedan with no other speakers being connected to an amp.
