My cat just clawed the muzzle right off at the vets, even though it was sturdy

this style cat muzzle is a must have for my animal hospital. Sturdy, easy to use, and a life saver. Safety first!

Pros:Kept my otherwise vicious male cat (when it comes to grooming) calm and manageable.Cons:The LARGE size is VERY LARGE. It is sized for a Maine Coon sized cat head. [I ended up donating the Large size to my local vet and keeping the Medium for my cats.]

I am a professional groomer. I have taken extra classes and continuing education for cat grooming. This muzzle is complete crap. It takes too long to adjust it and then is easy for the cat to get out of. Trying to use this is risky on an angry cat!

We use the leather Jorvet cat muzzles at the veterinary clinic I worked at so I purchased some for a mobile business I started up. Quality is way off! Leather is much thinner than the real Jorvet muzzles, also they have the restraint tie crisscrossed between some holes so it’s impossible to tighten on a terrifying cat. Had to unlace and replace without the crisscross pattern. Definitely not worth the money spent, purchase off the real website if you need it to work.

I have an older and MEAN but beautiful calico cat with HUGE, THICK nails!! She was at the vet the last time as a nail actually grew into her pad and was like a huge screw. :-( The vet got out the nail, and we had to apply antiseptic for a week. I went through over SIX types of biting restraints before I found this one. She needed the LARGE. It went on easily and thankfully was easy to put in place and to release as I have arthritis in my hands. I did have to hold her down between my knees while my husband clipped her THICK NAILS!! BUT IT WORKED! I also bought CAT nail clippers which I will also review!! I guess she forgave me as I did all the nails and then gave her cat treats!!! THANK YOU FOR CARRYING THIS!!!!

My vet recommended this after my Shih Tzu gets so nervous when I’m cutting his hair, he bites. I use it on my sons chihuahua for nail trims. They actually don’t seem to mind it. They’re much calmer.

Used it on a small dog. He needs treatment for a chronic health issue and bites. It covers his whole face (not ears) so he can’t bite and can’t see the treatment coming. There is a purposeful hole at the end of the nose. Squirt a litle whipped cream through it and he is completely oblivious to anything else happening to him. The hole is large enough to insert your pets favorite treats.I learned about this trick from my Vet.

This works for the difficult cats I need to trim nails. I love it. I was skeptical at first but tried it on my daughters cat who we normally have to cover her head with a towel in order to do her nails. This works like a charm. Just make sure you tighten it or it will fall off.
