Was missing 2 I.D. labels and have to really crank up the temperature to get the heat mat to get warm.

So far soil and a grow lite work better with huge tray no TOP, in inside a grow tent.This seed starter has not produced one plant with seed starter soil product. cannot figure out why. No heat pad and seeds grow crazy, this contraption has yet to produce anything.

I love to test different seeding setups. I have to say, this one is very good. It has the look of the Park Bio-Dome style, but the plastic bottom is much thinner/lighter as is the top. It is similar in grade of plastic to any commercial grow tray, The top is also a bit more shallow than the Park model, which is a negative, but taller than most of the basic tops. You have space for 40 seedlings, so I cannot exactly use it for my own needs, but its a bit late to be starting seeds in my area anyway. Where this does shine is including the heat mat, which is a MUST for doing your seeds rights. The top is molded to hold the 2 LED strips which is very nice, and functional. The top creates a nice seal, and has good vents to get the moisture levels you need. Where this unit shines for me is I am a prepper and always storing seeds, but also store with them seeding flats, perlite and vermiculite, so in an emergency situation, you have all you need. This nice little unit is going into my seed storage (often in 5 or 6 gallon sealed buckets) because it is such a complete little system. If I could not use my home setup, this would be a great way to start a small batch of seeds.

if I could give this product ten stars, I would. This performed exactly as promised. The silicone bottoms on the seedling pots is perfect for transplanting. The warming pad keeps the soil warm. My seed popped in 2-3 days, reaching for the lights on the dome. The dome keeps the humidity high, perfect for sprouting. Even the little tools they provided were adorable and useful. I absolutely recommend this seed starting kit. I am going to purchase another kit to start my other seeds. Love this.
